not paying for the same stuff - paying to beat the queue - what don't you …not paying for the same stuff - paying to beat the queue - what don't you understand?

I understand very well thank you, I disagree with the concept of paying to beat the que. How would you feel waiting at a stop light & a car pushes past everyone to the front, cause he paid extra road fund duty. Its the same thing.

Thats like saying I dont understand why people pay for more expensive, comfortable and faster cars than someone thats driving a 65hp Hyundai i10. Its a silly way of thinking, its how life is. You work harder in life, you get more in life. I choose to work because I want to be able to afford expensive holidays unlike someone who chooses to sit on the doll. Im not having a go at people who arnt able to work by the way.
The whole conversation above is ludicrous - the deal is there on HUKD - either take it or leave it. If you believe strongly than fast track is not worth the money, then go to your local park and literally ride a swing!! It’s simply a option if you don’t agree with it don’t take it, simple!

Agree. I don’t go to Alton/Thorpe for same reason. “Pay a bit more and we let you queue jump all day”. The allocated slot systems in Eurodisney etc are much fairer.

Well you know, there is a thing called life's not fair, don't get me wrong but I am a working class person that earns just a bit over the national average.

You have used the NHS analogy...

Some people wait for weeks and months to have certain operations on the NHS, then there are those rich lucky B words that just pay a private hospital and get it done within that week.

It really is as simple as that in my eyes. Yes its not nice, its just how life is, the reason the socialist system does not work is because humanity is greedy and competitive, everyone wants the best things in life.

Just to conclude, I think the NHS is a fantastic system and all those that make our health service do a fantastic job considering the hours they put in and the added pressure. NHS doctors and nurses I salute you with upmost respect.

I have to add to your list. I salute the cleaners, cooks, admin staff, building maintenance and all the other people that work in the back ground that we don't get to see.

Totally, takes a whole team to make a massive organisation as such work. The medical staff however are at the very upfront of it all.

But you did order a lovely graphics card the other day which will perform far better than a gamers card whom can't afford £250 on a card. This is life.

I quite like this idea! I would happily pay a higher road fund duty which could, in turn, fill the potholes for all users. All I would require is priority at traffic lights and the outside lane of motorways to be exclusive for those that have paid the extra premium! Thoughts?

Would you be happier if they binned 'Fast Track' but upped the price to make up for the lost revenue?
I wouldnt even bother going to Thorpe Park without a fast track ticket, waste my life queuing. Good deal.

People voting cold because they don't agree with fast track are a bit harsh... its a good deal on the value of the product/service, whether you agree with the product or not is a different matter.

A swing isn’t quite a rollercoaster so that goes against your own statement.

What has this got to do with paying to Que Jump?????????
Edited by: "Tabintab" 30th Dec 2019
All those talking about the road and car analogies.... we do witness this in terms of toll roads that avoid built up roads .... the M6 toll comes to mind.

Well it never used to exist, so revenue they are making is above and beyond anything that ever came before. So therefor no lost revenue, just not making more money out of people willing to pay to jump the Que.

So, your saying i'm a stupid person? What kindergarten did you fall out of? Now off to bed with you.
Its a good price and ive voted hot..
but for anyone who's not been before the shark hotel its awful its a metal container very limited space stuffy and the worst night sleep ever....

having said that for the price, 2 people who love theme parks and want a place to crash its amazing deal.
Good for couples go on the rides then have another 'ride' in the evening. Breakfast was decent. I went on a ministry of sound club night with rides open until late. No doubt costs more on such event nights but good fun

sorry
Is the unlimited fast track for 60 minutes, that seems a bit pointless.

Newsflash - Earning more money does not equal working harder. There are disabled people working their fingers to the bone for minimum wage and senior managers earning six figure sums from the golf course. Plenty of poor people work extremely hard and have extremely difficult lived through no fault of their own. This is always worth remembering.

Think your anology is a little off.
For things like flights, theme parks other vip events people get what they pay for. It might not seem fair to you, but people can spend their hard earned cash however they please.

I think you don't get it. Its not like getting on a bus, train or aircraft or in first class as everyone who gets on these things all get there at the same time. This is Que Jumping (where they get on a ride & off) at a cost. Now do you get it?

Like I said before as I quoted the other person, people paying private healthcare to get operations much earlier is basically queue jumping. You still get the same operation and service, just a lot faster and it still goes along the same principle considering people have already paid national insurance.
It is surprising how fast track tickets have normalised the idea of queue jumping to such an extent that people are willing to defend it. You wouldn't accept it in Tescos if you suddenly found 10 people going ahead of you.

Apart from those boarding the plane first based on the class of their ticket rather than first come first served....

(and it's "queue" )
RAFAVDV30/12/2019 19:33

Island Unlimited Fastrack allows you to experience a reduced queuing time all day on the following rides: THE Swarm, SAW The Ride, Stealth, Colossus, Nemesis Inferno, The Walking Dead: The Ride, Derren Brown's Ghost Train, Storm Surge, Rumba Rapids, Tidal Wave, Samurai, Vortex, Rush, Flying Fish, Detonator: Bombs Away, King Pig's Wild Dodgems, Angry Birds 4D Experience, Mr Monkey's Banana Ride, Quantum and Zodiac. Excluded: Depth Charge. Height, weight and chest restrictions apply to rides and attractions and are subject to availability.

Could be like 'come fly with me'

"How many people buy the priority boarding?"

"Oh everyone!"

"I don't like this unfair system"

"Let me quickly buy a ticket to exploit this unfair system"

Do you see?
You appear to only get the unlimited fast track at the Thorpe park hotel and the rooms look very small for 4 people. If you want another hotel you appear to loose that fast track benefit.
Edited by: "jamiesmith85" 30th Dec 2019
These stays are on the quietest days of the year at the theme park so fastrack is going to be useless anyway...

How does a spelling error defy or devalue ones opinion and thought? Have you maybe perhaps considered that English may be my second language?
I happen to be able to speak 5 languages in total. What about you?
