I thought I would post this on here for awareness since no one else has done so yet. A very good cause and a very nice skin to boot! Every penny of the purchase goes to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation. Kudos to Blizzard for this event!

The link is for the PC version only, for console versions purchase through your console.

Only available until 21st May so what are you waiting for!

Playstation link: store.playstation.com/en-…KIN

Xbox link thanks to FredMiniTuna (20p less for some reason at £12.79) https://www.hotukdeals.com/visit/comment/33775180/15780662

I think this is a really good way to raise money for charity. Gamer gets a skin, charity gets a load of money. More games should do this for various charities.
Love it! Heroes never die!

Agreed! I generally dislike the way micro transactions have taken over the gaming industry but this is a great use of them!

Blizzard has always been good with skins and vanity pets or mounts in their games for charity. I hope this makes a great deal of cash for a good cause x
I think this is the Xbox link microsoft.com/en-…c=1 and it's for £12.79 there.

Thanks! I'll add that to the description. Strange that there's 20p difference!

Yeah it's really strange.
Not into pink, dont usually use female characters but I'll buy it agree more games should do this
Bruh...
I bought this the moment the update came out. Really great of Blizzard to do this and I've seen many players use this skin in the games I've played since.
I don't play Mercy, if it had been cheaper I would have purchased it. They might have sold more. "I do a lot for charity mate" before anyone has a go.
Appreciate this will sound incredibly noobie... But is this the standard price for a character skin?

I think this is the only skin you can buy straight up, the rest are from loot boxes you earn or buy for real money.
Heat for a good cause
Nice to see Blizzard giving the full purchase price to charity and not taking a cut like many companies do with charity promos.

It’s because it’s from the xbox store , they take a certain cut of every purchase there so probably that

Reinhardt skin for prostate cancer next I reckon. Much as breastcancer is a great cause it does seem to get the lions share of funding.
Just bought the skin. I don’t mind paying for it if the money is going to charity. Also see that after it ends blizzard will release the break down for where it goes.

I bought the skin yesterday. Looks really nice and has exclusive voice lines and sound effects. They did this with Hearthstone too where if you bought a new hero the money went to charity. Also worth mentioning to watch the BCRF streams on Twitch for exclusive sprays in Overwatch.
Great cause....but £12.99 for a skin for one char....The game can be bought new for less than £20.
Btw if you buy this skin you also get double ults
Last time I bought a game because the money was going to charity I got hellblade. The full game. I'm not buying a skin for £12. I would rather just donate the money.

This sets a dangerous precedent that this much for a skin is OK (yes its for charity....whatever)
When the boxes are eventually changed/removed due to the issues with them in other country's blizzard will think its okay to charge £10 for the skins....
They should have just done donate what you want for the skin so the whales can donate allot and the rest of us don't get ripped. I'd happily give like £5 for it.

Remember when skins used to be free and made by the mod community? I ain’t paying money for this crap
nice looking skin and would have bought if it wasn't so expensive. Even if zenyatta is my go to healer

Congrats on not understanding the reason for the skin here.
More of these should indeed be available but at a lesser price. I - personally - think they'd shift more that way and raise even more.
The skin is great... The donation is not. At £8 odd quid I'd probably buy 3.

To make Blizzard look like they care, getting a profit in the long run? while also making it clear that this is an OK price for skin prices in the future?
And to give the for profit charity more money to put in their own pockets? very little goes towards the actual research.

Without reading the small print, how much of the sale actually goes to charity? Sceptic in me coming out, sorry guys.

On PC and Xbox, 100% goes to BCRF.
In the EU on PS4, 78% goes go BCRF. Apparently Sony take a cut for VAT and processing. In the USA on PS4, it's the full 100%.

BCRF has a rating of 91.16 on Charity Navigator, much higher than most charities, meaning a lot of the money goes towards the research, with a minimal amount covering admin/staff costs.
A skin for more than £10. I hate gaming these days. Lucky I was able to enjoy fully games 15 years ago without any dlc or stupid iap ( in app purchase edit for some idiot that don't understand what's IAP means)

Sure if you want to believe it.
But this is just largely to do with taxes and how large companies only do it for tax reasons.

That makes literally no sense.
You'd rather donate the money and not get the skin?

You're welcome to do that and do post the confirmation on here bud.

It is a deal plastikman. It’s a deal for cancer research.

Not all deals benefit us as individuals, but they can as a society.

What's iap? What's 15yeras?Are you ok? Are you having a stroke?

Yeras mistype as years. Iap is in app purchase. Are you idiot? You don't know what's IAP is for? Do you live under the rock?
