why post this?

Don't know whether its good or bad -just do what you should always do -Compare ! If you can get on here you can get on the compare sites .

bob99999

if you like, I will tell you how I save £500 on my energy bill every year

What about the exit fees most charge??

You really must be on a lousy tariff to be able to save £500/ year.

Ovo electric
12p + 27p dly standing charge
Npower (who I am with)
10p + 21p dly standing charge
So in my opinion that is not saving

Looks like we have the typical HDUK Lemming voting here - that will make a change X) - Haven't checked myself but OVO are very competitive , Same advice as always -check on the comparison sites ! And for those down voters - maybe if you checked instead of following the other HUKD Lemmings -you might save yourself a few quid oO

Put it in the on line calculator -you might be right ,or wrong !

I'm not with OVO (with First Utility) - but OVO came out just behind when I switched 2 months ago (not quite as much Quidco) . Curious to know why voted cold when it would probably save most members £200 -£300 a year ? .
Just wondering

Most ? Hardly. Some maybe.

^Probably too much faffing about but I'm all for saving money in this tough economic climate.

Depends who you are with and what tariff you are on . Cant understand the negative Lemming voting when just a quick check on a comparison site will tell you the best deal . Might be OVO might be another . May or may not be the best but certainly does not deserve the Typical HUKD Lemming voting

Once the mindless Lemmings vote a post negative ,more just post it negative . Isn't that totally moronic ? Why vote this deal down when instead of the -ve click you could click on a comparison site ? Folks on here die for a £5 off dubious voucher or a Tesco Wild Goose chase and then vote down a deal that could save them tens if not hundreds a year - BONKERS you are HDUK members -my sympathy for you is quickly fading , Be a Lemming -or save money -Your Choice ! oO

I'm not gumbling but you'll be surprise that there are folks out there who are very wasteful with their money spending like there's no tomorrow & are too lazy to do anything about it before it's too late & then blame someone.

Hot from me, i switched to OVO last may. I set my direct debit up for the same amount i was paying EON/British Gas, so far i'm £512 in credit

what's that's about ovo stuff any prices for gas cheaper than 2.88 kwh plus 15p standing charge and 11p kwh standing 18p charge let me know

think u best check again probably save alot more if you changed last year I'm paying for around 2.88kwh for gas with around 15 p scharge and electric around 11p wkh and 18 per day charge

OVO gives excellent customer service. I have been with them for over 2 years. Very clear bills, very polite and helpful staff and a great app - My Ovo. Only £70 in credit though! Oh and as I referred my dad and he has recently gone with them, I just received a £25 John Lewis gift voucher as a thank you and so did he! My dad was previously with one of the big 6 and he hadn't had a bill in ages and couldn't seem to get through to the correct customer services with them.

Someone desperately wants his "colder than Katie Price" badge

I switched to Ovo and saved loads compared to the big 6 suppliers. No problems with customer service. If you do want to save money on your gas an electricity bills then try a comparison website. I am sure Ovo will be there at or near the best option.

I had a year on OVO last year. They saved me a lot after being with Eon and I got a good cashback deal too - and they were easy to deal with. Wasn't quite as good a deal in 2nd year so have now switched again to First Utility (another good cashback deal). When with Ovo I carried on paying the same monthly rate I had previously paid to EoN (this was my own choice and the amount was around £114 for gas/elec for 4-bed semi) and when I left I was sent a refund of my credit of around £280. They also paid interest on the credit amount
Switching is a doddle now and cashback incentives still good. I'll switch every year as I do with house insurance and car insurance.

I got this on eon last week
gas 21.9p SC 2.976p kwh
elec 16.42p SC 16.42p kWh
thort that was good when did you sign up?

I'm with OVO and can highly recommend them. Good customer service, good value, easy to understand bills and easy to enter meter readings online.

I find switching every 3 months makes better financial sense

I found ovo a nightmare to deal with, snotty customer service, inability to turn up to appointments.

no one has mentioned the 3% interest on any credit? This beats the hell out of bank interest rates.
Another + for the customer service and also the website. Brilliant.

Been with them 3 yrs, excellent customer service and fuss free contracts, great app to submit meter readings and 3% pain on positive balances, no trickyness other companies use

Think you have proved the point -yet the ignorant HUKD Lemmings/Sheep rate it at minus 133 . Strangely not many negative comments - lots of negative votes - mindless sheep at work -sadly they are HUKD members That's why I always check out interesting deals myself and vote on what I find . I NEVER vote with the HUKD moronic sheep , I vote on what I believe the merits or not of the deal to be - as all members should . Positive or negative .

This site is used by many intelligent folk , thank you for all the great deals and great advice I have received . Sadly it is also inhabited by Lemmings/Sheep - I'm afraid you just have to learn how to spot them , although they rarely leave a comment to justify their moronic "Follow the Leader " voting patterns - Sad

Did try to help there mate -sadly you can lead a horse to water etc ! The moronic sheep on here are sometimes beyond help . In about 20 seconds more than placing a Lemming -ve vote on this they could have gone on a comparison website and saved themselves a few hundred quid . Sadly sometimes you just have to admit defeat and realise that you cant educate morons They'll continue to vote 20p off a Morrisons cream cake "Hot" and a potential £200-£500 off their annual energy bill cold .

It used to annoy me - but it is impossible to help some people - that's why they will always be sheep .

I always go down the Martin Lewis route. Compare and change often, but always remember the get out charges.
