I got it in-store, it is online, but sure there is a delivery charge?

I use a magnum lock. The look of a lock is most of the battle and if they see a quality lock they wont even bother and move on to a softer target.

Dunno - you posted the deal - why don't you help us out?

Once added to basket it was too much hassle to find that out thanks.

And Oxford are not well regarded on a lot of locks...

I looked at this offer when I was shopping for a d-lock last week, according to the review I read, they weigh about 2.1kg.

It was too long for what I needed, the 340cm length meant it wouldn't fit on its carrying bracket inside the frame of the bike I wanted it for, as it was only a 20" frame. The advice on the web is to fill any unused space in D-locks with front wheel, helmet or whatever, because some thieves use a stubby bottle jack placed parallel to the lock body to snap the shackle. There's a photo on the forth page of this article showing the technique. ctc.org.uk/res…pdf

Voting hot because it was the best price I could find it for, and a good price for a gold rated lock. If you do find one cheaper on another website, check the key is not tubular, as I found one or two places apparently still selling the old model.

I ended up with a standard length Kryptonite myself.

delivery is 3.99 from decathlon, also they have it instore, I just got one this afternoon from the Glasgow store! It's a great solid lock! I am very happy with it!

It's been that price for a while, good value I bought one for a m'bike, as it's motorcycle gold rated. It's way too heavy for me to use on a cycle.

Reasonable price for a probably okay-ish lock, as it's 16mm shackle, but please read this "Locks that work" thread:
lfgss.com/thr…tml

There are some alternatives suggested in that thread (GRP 18mm one @ £16.50 particularly good for people who can get to London)

Lighter locks don't tend to do well against anything but opportunist scallywags with no equipment. Sadly bikes go missing from just about everywhere these days, it's not just a city thing

This is a seriously good lock, its worth a little extra weight for a lock of this quality. Thicker than the standard Craptonite!

I'm sceptical about cheap chinese locks, but there's what appears to me to be a knock-off of the Oxford magnum on ebay for £17
cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/…897

manufacturer's site:- china-lockset.com/tes…552

There's also an 18mm shackle here for £13.99 + £3.99 delivery:

ebay.co.uk/itm…934

I make no claims about the security of the lock mechanism but you don't get much more visual deterrent for the money than an 18mm shackle with neon yellow band.

by whatever lock you like , but never by Masterlock chain combination locks , like this one

amazon.co.uk/Mas…-38

in reviews I added my video how unbelievably easy it is to open this idio...ic lock from mastrerlock

Been this price for at least 4 months

which is better? this or the Kryptonite Evolution Mini 7

amazon.co.uk/Kry…g_5

This is sold secure gold rated, the kryptonite mini is only silver rated, so this.

However, if you're after a smaller, lighter lock than the Oxford, then the kryptonite Evolution Std is gold rated and less than £30 hotukdeals.com/dea…251
