YES! its an extender

Hot from me just wish I had a house were I oculd fit a table in

How many people does it comfortably sit ??

good price, but not sure about the end extensions - they look like a crude after thought rather than a good design, and the wood grain of the extensions runs 90 degrees to the main table, I think that would make it look cheap.

How much is it?
It’s on at £90.31
Will you take £90.30?
Yeah.

FANTASTIC! That is the icing on the cake.

Got to love me some Partridge

So they pump up the price so that they can knock it back down again by a huge amount? What is this, DFS? Pfffth.

If it's anything like the other "solid oak" furniture from argos then it's lots of very small bits of solid oak glued together, kind of like chipboard but with very big chips.

the table is actually very solid (Got it half price at christmas with the 6 chairs) - but as someone else has alluded to the extensions are a bit crude. They dont sit quite right i.e. it drops slightly. But it hasnt stopped us using it on the few occasions when we've had more than 6 people sitting up.

One issue we did have was the finish - we oiled it as recommended but then spilt some water on it. Within a minute the area had become really rough. We ended up having to damp the whole of the table, sand (with very fine sandpaper - 240 or 320) and repeat the process a few times until the top surface did not 'rough up'. Then we varnished. Havent had any problems since.

you can comfortably seat 8. And 10 people should have no problem squeezing in.

Might be worth noting this is not 100% solid oak, as there is an oak finish on legs etc. Could well be veneers on the top as well.

Argos description isn't very liberal with the facts as usual.
