OK, so I've been hanging on for a few months now for a deal that I would bite on. Still unsure about what to do regarding Huawei and the whole Trump debacle, and this is why I am putting it to you.

The deal on the whole IMO looks like great value.

P30 Pro on a 24 month contract with nothing up front.
Unlimited mins, texts AND data...

Surely this is worth a bite right?

PLUS possible £44.10 from TCB on top.

I would buy the phone outright, eBay or similar platform and go sim only

That Vodafone max speed data sim is worth £30/m on its own, let alone the free Spotify premium for 2 years at a total cost of £240.

It is £45/m x 24 but it is discounted to £35/m when you submit your bill on the requested months.

So the deal on the whole is £840 (after discount) - £240 (Spotify) - £720 (what you'd pay for the voda sim deal on its own).

IMO this is a cracking deal and the Trump issue seems non-existent anymore, certainly where existing products are concerned.

Yeah, I get that you can just buy a phone outright and chuck a sim at it but not everyone has the ability to do that. If contract is the only way you can go, this for me, is well worth the money and the slight effort to retrieve the cashback via MPD.

That looks good, shame it's Vodafone but hot from me
£38pm for 30GB with EE
I would buy the phone outright, eBay or similar platform and go sim only
Free watch as well
Looks a good price but I'm waiting for an actual 5g Huawei phone before taking out a new 5g contract.
Hoping Three will join the race within the next month or so...

Price after cashback only
So is this just a claim of 5G but the handset isn't true 5G yet? A bit like when everything was "HD Ready"?

This isn't even 5g ready, it's a shame as there are some good unlimited Vodafone 5g contracts but none with a 5g phone lol

Weird. Whats the selling point then? Is it just sucking chumps like me in?
It seems a good deal to be honest. An unlimited everything plan usually cost £20 at least, which in 24 months would be£480. Therefore the price of the phone would be £360... Great deal.

Unfortunately I'm not sure if I will keep living in UK for the next 24 months... Otherwise I would pull the trigger

Not sure on the reason, but yes it is a bit weird. Although it's still a good price for unlimited 4g with a good phone thrown in.
My phones last me at least three years which is why I'm holding out for an actual 5g phone, don't want to be left behind when it starts taking off
Edited by: "wonneil" 15th Jul
Cheapest you can get Sim only UL Everything is currently £22pm from 3 making the handset price £312

I'm not a fan of contract phones but for £312 for the phone effectively (assuming you remember to redeem the cashback) this is a very very good deal.....

Wouldn't worry about it not being a 5g phone, 5g is going to be pretty pointless for most people's phone usage especially with the silly data caps most of the networks will be applying

I've lost touch a bit but what is going on with the Google banning its services to Huawei? What happens to Android support and updates?
The plus point for me with Vodafone is the Spotify/Now TV add on for free. I can cancel premium on this basis, thus making it even more warming.
I've not used Vodafone for years, so leaving EE behind for free spotify is the cautious decision I am thinking about atm...

I had a read up before posting and if I understand correctly, there is absolutely nothing to be concerned about at this time regarding current handsets. The big questions hang over future devices. I think!
Great price! Probably worth the abysmal Vodafone service!

What experience do you have with Vodafone? General consensus on here is that they're garbage. I haven't used them in years but coverage in my area is actually better with them than EE is which is why I'm making the consideration.
Didn't realise Vodaphone gave Spotify premium for free?

Nothing really, Trump just mumbling here and there... but it's Trump so you never know what could happen tomorrow (with Huawei and any other non-american big brand)

That's one of the selling points for Vodafone for me this time around.
5G unlimited I nearly fell for that.
£45 pm before cashback ( not so good but ok )
Includes Spotify or whatever you choose is a bonus.
Single sim (killer for me)

Sill considering three 100gb UM UT @ 38pm less £65 TCB dual sim unlocked
So this is a 5g contract but a 4g device wtf title needs amending...

Pretty much my outlook on it tbh.
I presume there is no issue using additional cashback sites prior to purchasing for that extra bit back?
Quidco co pay £33.60 and £44.10 from TCB

Title needs amending to show P30 pro 4G with 5G contract.
I dont think its 5g, i think its Vodafones new logo so is slightly confusing, is this definitely 5g?
I didnt realise this wasn't a 5G handset, I thought they were built with 5G in mind once it rolled out.
Clearly a marketing ploy from the Voda side I think.
Still, it warrants some heat for the cost I reckon.

Neither the SIM is 5G,
Nor the mobile is 5G.
Vodafone have just changed the logo to 5G.
(Have spoken to voda today )
A little tedious you have to claim the cashback in 5 instalments....

Aye its the one thing about this whole deal that annoys me. I presume they're jusg banking on folk to forget.
Only on HUKD would a 5G call contract with a non 5G phone would go hot

I'd already corrected the title to remove the 5G from the description.
Several people along with myself didnt realise the current P30 Pro was not 5G capable - the new Vodafone logo displays now as 5G which is ultimately misleading tbh.

Sounds like whoever you spoke to was just guessing, if a sim is only 4g then it has a 4g logo. If they have a 4g sim with a 5g logo then that is false advertising...
Although clicking on the link it does show 4g logos, so has it now changed to a 4g only contract?

Why exactly do you need a 5g handset? Not trolling....genuinely intrigued.

I work in IEmterprise T and I'm a data heavy user {usually at least 20gb-30gb usage pm}

I travel a.lot and my phone is just as important a tool to me as my laptop.... I spend hours daily on Skype \Teams or transferring files via sftp

Yet I have no need for 5G....

Tell me what I'm missing?
