Usually pay around £2 - £2.50 each for these Hand Washes so to get 3 Del for £3.99 (or even cheaper if you subscribe and save) is a great price. At the moment they have 4 different scents at this this price on the link - Sweet Mandarin and Grapefruit, English Lavender and Chamomile, Fair Trade & Black Pepper and Ginseng, the others are £6, but they may well be reduced too, so keep checking the link

They also have a Pack of 3 Baylis & Harding Jasmine and Apple Blossom Anti-Bacterial Hand Wash, 500 ml for £3.99 as an Add On item but can subscribe & save for a cheaper price delivered without the £20 spend

The disappointment on someone’s face when they receive a gift of Baylis & Harding and at first glance thought it was Molton Brown

Waitrose currently £1.33 each. Jasmine or mandarin can be picked for the MyWaitrose card giving a further 20% discount.

I hope they reduce the jojoba, silk & almond oil one, that's my favourite. Great find!

Which of this is Best one?
Sweet Mandarin and Grapefruit,
English Lavender and Chamomile,
Fair Trade,
Black Pepper and Ginseng,
Jasmine and Apple Blossom?

Never get over how this has England and a british name yet its made in China and gets a premium price

Great find, thank you. Just texted it on my school mums group chat for all to see!

looks beautiful sitting on near taps, But does not make enough foam and no perfume. or did i get a fake one?

Agree, don't understand what the big deal is about Baylis and Harding products in general?

We haven't tried them all but we didn't like the "Black Pepper and Ginseng". It's not the same quality for some reason.

We used to buy them a £1 each from Amazon but they're still good value for £1.33. I will buy one of each from the range discounted to £3.99.

Heat added OP. Gone for the Sweet Mandarin and No Rush Delivery for the one pound digital credit - another book coming to mrs bellboys' kindle

Nice deal - the Jasmine one is good.

They're nice. That's all.

While I would be disappointed with Baylis & Harding over Molton Brown in terms of scent, at least Baylis aren't ripping you off so hard they may as well laugh in your face. So tbh I'd prefer this.

Molton Brown aren’t ripping anyone off, they’re a luxury English brand by appointment to her majesty and b&h is a cheap Chinese knockoff loaded with chemicals. It’s like comparing rolls royce with Skoda, you pays your money you takes your choice.

Refuse to use anything else in my bathroom. Great Deal!!

Packaging better than the contents, bit like myself

used to have these on my subscribe and save but the pump nozzle either didn’t work at all or broke after a few uses .

Ordered, thanks OP!

Nor do I. Even at this price it is rubbish hand wash. No after scent at all

18 quid for 300ml MB hand wash at John Lewis. Made In England but so was the Titanic. I mean, I kind of value my hands but not that much. Have to say, no matter what your protestations to the contrary, that sort of pricing really does smack of rip-off...are your hands in better condition that someone who uses B&H hand wash? Can we have a picture?

PS What's Sodium laureth sulfate and is it used in LB products?

My in-laws buy me a big presentation box of the stuff every Christmas ......my face no longer registers 'disappointment' - just resignation.
I stock up with the stuff when it is on offer in Waitrose (and a get a free paper and latte as well !!).....
Will my earthly let downs earn me more brownie points in heaven?

I worry more about the condition of people's brains when they pay £18 for a bottle of hand wash....

It's used to make toiletries foam. There are some shampoos that don't, but practically everything along those lines has it.

Rip-off was perhaps a tad aggressive, but luxury products are *not* directly based on manufacturing cost. You can't sell something as a premium quality product unless people feel it's expensive. I see some nice genuine ingredients in the MB, but if you think the price is directly proportional to the cost... no. Also, all things are chemicals.

To be honest, the ingredients are near identical; most soaps and hand washes use sodium lauryl sulphate as the 'active ingredient' and if you look at the two bottles around 90% of the ingredients are the same. Molton Brown probably uses a higher quality perfume base hence the perceived value is a lot higher than the actual cost of what goes in - for both this would be tuppence (check out the wholesale costs of making soap/ handwash based on ingredient pricing).

For MB, labour costs will be significant in the UK, their raw material costs will be higher being locally sourced, and their packaging is more premium so they need to charge a higher price, however I really doubt even that justifies the cost of 18 quid for 300mL which is a cost per mL of 6 pence; for the BH on this deal the cost is only 0.27p / mL - that's a 2250% hike (22.5 times)!!.

But for anyone on a 7 figure salary, and wants to be identified with the Queen, it's probably a no-brainer.

I get your point, but Titanic was actually a really well made ship. If you're interested, read the post below that dispels this myth:
