Defo comes with transformer?

Yep, transformer included,,,

These products are IP20 rated and if fitting in a bathroom are only suitable for use in dry, outside zones of

a bathroom. A 30mA RCD must be used in accordance with the current IEE wiring regulations.

What is a 'dry outside zone'?

From Spec
"These products are IP20 rated and if fitting in a bathroom are only suitable for use in dry, outside zones of a bathroom. A 30mA RCD must be used in accordance with the current IEE wiring regulations."
Can't be used over bath/shower only in the dry area.

I believe it means zone 3 in a bathroom:-

EDIT: outside zones are apparently beyond zone 3, although I can't see why you couldn't use them in zone 3, as zone 3 doesn't require an IP rating providing it is not subject to water jets (does limit where you could put them though, unless you've got very high ceilings):-

Looks like it. If part 36773 corresponds to the "kit" -and it looks like it does- the contents are :-

COB LED recessed tilting downlights (3) with 1m cable LED driver with 0.3m cable and connection box (1) and Connection loop (2)

Need 6 spots been into b&q today looking at £90 for ip65

Great deal, says it comes with LED driver as well.

Eh?

Great value and use in bathroom except directly above bath and shower area. The use of a transformer is to make any chance of electrocution because of damp or splash virtually non existent because light is supplied with only 12 volts.

Any deals about for 3 cool white downlights 54mm cut out.

Received yesterday and can confirm they come with transformer. Great deal. Thanks OP

Are this gu10

great value many thanks.

cigbunt - these bulbs are non replaceable. I've bought a few spares.

Can anyone advise which transformers to buy? Unfortunately I'm unable to run three from the same transformer unable to wire across joists etc.

Hi, the CPC supplied 5w downlighters and transformer use what is termed as constant current drive which is believed to be more reliable than the common constant voltage transformer.
Constant current are not very common as the LED lamps as these are wired in series (like the old fashioned xmas lights, IE 1 removed - all out).
For singles or variables multiples then a constant voltage LED driver transformer can be used. These are ranged from around 12watts up. If you cant get the wire across the joists, then wire the LED's to a separate 12watt LED transformer. These are plentiful on Amazon or eBay for a few quid each.

I too purchased a quantity of these LED kits, and look brilliant.
