Philips brand are really c**p. Complete waste of money - youll be lucky if they last more than 48hrs each. COLD from me.

If you're looking for something brighter - Netto are doing 14w ones for 10p each

I've had one of these Phillips bulbs in my bathroom for the last 6 years so clearly you are mistaken! :whistling:

Our local council give these away for free.
Might be worth checking with your council to see if they do any kind of similar initiative before shelling out

all the major energy suppliers insist on giving these away free anyhow, trust me i post enuff of them and they are the biggest pain in the **** ever.

LOL  I bought four 8/9 years ago from Morrisons and only one of them lasted more than 24hrs (and they were ruddy expensive then). Then my wife bought a Philips downlight bulb a few months ago and that didnt even last 12 hrs before 1 out of the 3 elements failed. I have since bought dozens of Tescos / ASDA own brand downlights and and not one of them has been a duffer.

If you have a light that is marked 40w max, can you use the lieks of a 14w one based on the fact its equivalent to 75w?

Jumpingphil;5240116

So that would make the Argos ones 20p each as opposed to 39p.:?

This deal is advertising 5 for 39p, not 39p per lightbulb :w00t:
