seems good, i was wondering how long b4 poundland did his

my local has been selling eggs for ages, never really taken any notice of them before....niceone,will get them next time am in as i go through tons of eggs..heat added

I wouldn't buy eggs from my poundland. It is too hot in there for egg storage.

ICELAND 12 for £1, might be medium size...not sure, but they are free range.

are you sure free range ?

my local sells 9 packs of eggs, but just usual battery ones....

sounds to good to be true, normally half a dozen free range eggs are about £1.50-£2.00 +

Dont people shop in ''Normal Stores'' as opposed to these peasant/tramp/homeless places?

I don't think is free range but just caged ones as far as I know. I normally get the sainsbury's barn eggs (economy) for £1.78 for 18. That's as cheap as caged ones, but obviously much better!

And what qualifies as a 'normal store' in your tiny little mind?

I wouldnt consider barn raised compared to caged to be 'much better' more like 'slightly better'

No, sorry. We are all working hard for low wages so you can live in Kensington and get your shopping delivered by Waitrose.

Don't people buy their PC gear in "Normal Stores" rather than scrounging from others for free??

Doh!

Since Free Range Eggs seem to be getting really cheap, I assume the phrase 'Free Range' has been redefined by the egg industry --- from an American site, but I assume the rules are similar here 'regulations do not specify the quality or size of the outside range nor the duration of time an animal must have access to the outside' - the chicken probably gets 10 minutes a day in a 6x6 yard to qualify as free range, but in all other aspects it's a battery farmed chicken. Pulling the wool over the consumers eyes is likely to higher up the agenda than caring about the chickens' welfare.

Agree 100%.
The term ' Free Range' pretty much by definition means that they cannot be mass produced for a retailer like Poundland or be sold as cheaply as this. We all know what Free Range eggs are and we should be astute enough to know that these Poundland ones cannot be the real deal. Weasle words.

Supermarket prices can be marked up pretty high. It's very possible free range eggs from Poundland are produced similar ways as leading supermarkets. Maybe both the supermarkets and retailers such as Poundland redefined the term 'free range'.

Evidence of what?? You have completely missed my and jhw's point. Just what exactly does 'Free Range' mean is the question. If you imagine that you can get 'chickens running around the yard' produced eggs at this price from this retailer (or any of the other you name for that matter) then you're just fooling yourself. If you want evidence, try comparing the taste with a farm bought product - it really is that simple.
If these really are free range eggs, and they are kept in a nice warm shop, there is a chance that they may well be going cheep and not cheap?

if this is not cheap ammo for the chavs....

my local fuit and veg shop/the local farmer sells them 59p for 6 free range,he lives within 2 miles 2.
much better
