I've been looking for a netbook for university and after a little searching I've found this one. It seems cheep for what it is, says it has £109 off, though im cautious of the RRP

includes software such as: Adobe Photoshop Elements worth £50 (thanks grahawk)

Don't Acer own Packard Bell :w00t:

Yup...

since when has Packard Bell been a respected brand?
are you sure you're not confusing it with Hewlett Packard?

The hardware has been a lot better since they were bought over by Acer (some of them are in essence re-badged hardware or the chassis is different) but agree prior to that their reputation was rocky at best.

Still it's a not bad deal considering the inclusion of the six cell battery and it's relatively cheap for what your getting at the end of the day.

Cheers, Scotty Boy!

im oh so tempted with this...

The presence of Adobe Photoshop Elements makes this an even better bargain. It's a £50 program and very good at that.

Good post. Hot.

Morgan Computers are currently selling Elements 7 for £20.

Years ago I bought a Packard Bell from Curry's and it put me right off them both....... PB and Curry's.

So hopefully better now if owned by Acer.

£22.28 inc VAT & Shipping

and it won't run on this netbook according to the sys req's and possibly a lot of others.

Seems strange that software supplied with a netbook won't run on it

Gimp runs fine on my Samsung NC10, the only downside is the rather small screen.

Pete

It might an older probably version 6 or 7, so perhaps not £50, but even with version 6 it's very good software and it will probably have lower system requirements. Version 8 requires a 1.6ghz processor and 1GB of RAM, according to Adobe, so this netbook meets those.

looks interesting!

worth considering hot for me
