was thinking of getting this as its quite a good price for an i3 intel and its 4gb.

Any body know if the graphics card can be upgraded fro gaming?

Ta.

Rule of thumb, for the majority of laptops, the gpu can't be upgraded as they are soldered to the motherboard. And in this case there isn't one or even a slot on the motherboard since it is now integrated to sit beside the cpu.

No chance. It's an Intel chip :P Almost useless in terms of gaming performance.

I did get CoD4 working on a ATI x300, but the settings were very very low and the fps was borderline unplayable at times, which is no good in multiplayer ;).

I would imagine a 330m or hd4650 would be a better bet for playing CoD.

Have one here at work , brand new in a sealed box .One of the teaching assistants went shopping last night to PC World and bought it as a present . Seems a good spec laptop . I normally get the news ones to look at , take off all the pre-installed rubbish , get rid of the demos etc and install stuff like SASpyware ,CCleaner and the likes . Haven't had the time yet to look at this one yet , but I will .

ok so completely going away from this deal for 500 quid whats the best laptop to get?

Cold - there are better deals available (see post #4)

Post 4 link is only a 2.26 i3, this one is a 2.4. If you aren't looking for gaming on your laptop this packard bell is a cracking price. I bought it in blue this weekend and also got £70 for my old worthless Acer for a trade in - then added the £5 voucher from the gift guide and voila, £354 for a cracking PB laptop. Using it now can't recommend it enough.
