I got one of these from the outlet store on the Greyhound Park Chester. Great monitor for the price, you can pay a lot more for a lot worse. No it isn't HDMI, but it is 1920 x 1080 (with DVI). And a HDMI>DVI adapter is very cheap to buy.

They are for sale in store (new) on Currys/PC World for £139. Full spec below - http://www.pcworld.co.uk/gbuk/packard-bell-viseo-230-23-lcd-monitor-03661000-pdt.html

Give your eyes a treat with the Packard Bell Viseo 230 23" LCD Monitor. This 23-inch computer display sports both VGA and DVI connectors, allowing it to be used with a wide variety of netbook, notebook and desktop computers.

The Packard Bell Viseo 230 offers an ultra-high 80,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio, excellent brightness at 300 cd/m2, and a superb Full High Definition resolution - that's 1920 x 1080 pixels! Gamers will be interested in the 5 ms response time, which assures a crisp picture even in fast-moving scenes.

The Packard Bell Viseo 230 23" LCD Monitor is also remarkably energy-efficient, consuming a maximum of just 70 watts in operation. And because it features built-in stereo speakers, it keeps desk clutter to a minimum.

You wont be disappointed. I am tempted to get another for browsing. I was going to get a cheap monitor (smaller one) but at this price, why not get two 23" ones

Yes if it is HDCP compliant you can use that cable to connection to a PS3 - my son uses one to use his computer monitor. I would double check that it is HDCP compliant. I found a website that said it was, but you should probably double check it before you buy.
I found another website that seems to confirm that it is HDCP compliant here

Where is the outlet place in Greyhound Park? I'm quite near there, but never knew about it. Or do you mean the PC World shop as opposed to a unit selling off cheap computer things.

Is the included stand adjustable?

Edit: Never mind, just looked on PRAD and it says no - you can adjust the angle though.

As the guy said above, it is Next to Next (or the new big John Lewis). Basically it is a store that has all the ebay outlet type deals, and can pick up some real bargains. A few posts on here for a Samsung TV I saw recently. It is well worth a visit, and had a few of these in stock.
Bought one for work as they are far too tight to buy us a monitor!!! (They do buy us MacBook Pro's to teach with though so I guess I shouldn't moan Perfect for my occassional desk needs.... thanks buju247!!
Ahh bit the bullet and ordered!! Thanks OP, been trying to find a new 22" for under £100 for a while, so this suits me perfectly - will use as a second screen for my 17" laptop to watch HD content on
Not going to do better than this on price for 23"
Just ordered, and heat added. Thanks

really? just moved over to london so im not sure what the norm for 22-24" lcd tv/monitors are.

will it be extremely hard to find a better price for this price?
I don't want to face the hoards of sarcastic replies, as it's a genuine question, BUT will this be perfectly acceptable for PC gaming? I ordered my first gaming PC a few days ago, and now need a screen that will do it justice.
Thanks in advance!
Looks like a super deal - purchased one and added heat. Thank you for posting buju.

This is ideal for gaming. Easily the best monitor deal I've ever seen on here.

I kinda wish I needed another screen but I'm totally set there. I really can't quite believe I'm saying that about anything with Packard Bell in the name as I associate that brand with unreliable rubbish.

Still you can't argue with solid reviews from professionals and this passes the test as a great budget monitor. At anything over £120ish I'd stay away and say there are better deals. At this price, it's a no brainer for most people, grab it while its in stock.
thanks
Bought, thanks for all the advice.
can anyone tell me:

a) how easy it is to switch between sources? ideally does it have a source switch button? I'd like to use this between my laptop and 360.

b) what brand the panel might be

c) is it glossy or matte?

sounds perfect though, for the price.

cheers

Thanks a lot, just ordered one!
Arg; do I buy 3 of these or do I stick with my 3 Acer S221HQLs. (21.5", LED)

Decisions, decisions.

I've been toying with multi screen setups for many years now and one thing I've learned is if you want 3 screens, its best to avoid panels like this. Since you already have that kind of arrangement I'm surprised you're not wanting to go to an MVA or IPS set of panels.

The problem is with TN panels like this, the field of view is limited. If you're in the sweet spot in the middle, it isn't a problem. If you set it slightly to the side, it isn't a huge problem (as would happen in a two screen arrangment) but once you go to 3 screens, 2 of those TN panels are going to be quite a distance to your left and right and that limited field of view suddenly kicks in and you're left with a great centre picture and two washed out pictures to the left and right.

This gets really chronic if you try and mount the monitors vertically.

If you go for IPS panels, that problem goes away and all the screens look wonderful no matter how you arrange them.
naff brand but good price just bought 2 for the multi screen setup
just purchased one. heat added.
Thanks for this, I just needed a monitor and was very close to buy a touchscreen or a 3D which I don't really need and also for almost twice as much as this one.

Awesome, perfect timing for me as I've been looking for cheap monitors all week. Really can't find anything this size that's close for the money. Bought two. Cheers op!
