£90 is a nice price considering this is a 24 inch with DVI and VGA. Grab yourself a HDMI to DVI converter connector and this monitor could be used with a games console.

Doesn't this have a HDMI port? I got this monitor last week and it definitely has a HDMI port on mine?

Great screen by the way, nice and light too.

Ignore me, didn't realise there were two versions of it.

Packard Bell? I thought they were just a brand owned by the DSG group (not had coffee yet, so may be wrong )

So who *actually* makes it then?

You're not wrong, but BT owns both Dabs and Dixons nowadays IIRC.

Packard Bell are owned by Acer so it could be one of their monitors, although I don't know whether Acer just rebadge someone else's monitors in the first place...oO

Shows up for me with a delivery charge as well, different browser or being logged in/out of Dabs makes no difference.

Is that on eBuyer's deal of the day, but went for the Samsung 23" instead for £85

ebuyer.com/pro…ors

I want to be able to play Blu-rays on my PC. I seem to recall that the monitor has to have a certain "compliance" for this to work (is it HDCI?)

I've had a look at the specs but cannot find anything. Does anyone know anything more about this and can confirm/deny whether it will work?

£83.99 on scan's today only page Free delivery for AV and Hexus forum members!

Clear your cookies/cache. I discovered that if I'd clicked through from a cashback site, the sly weasels actually removed free postage from certain items.

I know, i posted the original ebuyer deal + this has been cheaper at Argos too, but this is currently the best price for anyone that doesn't have a qualifying AVforums member account to receive free delivery.

If your a qualifying AVforum's member buy it on Scans TODAY only page, if your not but it from this deal page

Doesnt say HDMI on the page so wont risk it as dont want to be stuck with a non HDMI model.

FYI:

UM.FK3EE.A01 <-----Is the HDMI (2ms)
UM.FK3EE.001<------Is the DVI version (5ms)

Neither monitor models have speakers so realistically it doesn't really matter whether you get a HDMI or DVI, as they are both digital interfaces, which is why you can buy HDMI to DVI cables or adapters.

The main difference between HDMI and DVI ports (other than bandwidth) is that HDMI (more often) carries audio and video signals, whereas DVI generally tend to carry VIDEO only signals on the inputs.

But like i said, there are no speakers on either model, so that's not an issue and regardless which one of these model monitors you buy you will have to buy a digital cable (whether its HDMI-HDMI or HDMI-DVI) anyway, as both only ship with a VGA cable.

The only real main difference that I can see between the two models is that one is 5ms and the other is 2ms. Both seem to have VESA mounts, which is something that Packard Bell hasn't updated in there documents or listing

Both 2ms & 5ms is good for gaming
