I'm genuinely curious as to how you fit a 'flat head' screw driver between your radiator and your wall! Hot Deal anyway!

@mulva42&flyingflea, really? How the hell do you manage that? Is there a slot there where you can insert the flat head? My radiators just have a square metal piece, no place to put the screw driver in. Saying that I will give the flat head a try, I just hope I don't flood the place.

If yours don't have a slot then don't try using a flate blade screwdriver to loosen/tighten!

Depends on the type of radiator bleeding valve. Mine doesn't require a key:

Bleeding! I like what you did there.

p.s. Notice the correct use of the word 'there' in the above sentence.

Was your computer built before the war as well?

"handy for pepole to get air out of there radiators"

It isn't air, it's hydrogen. If you don't put corrosion inhibitor in your radiator water, the insides of the radiators will rust, breaking down the water into oxygen (forming rust with the steel) and hydrogen, which fills the radiators with gas. If you get a lot of this, your radiators will eventually rust through, and your boiler too.

There's not many other uses for them

Some of us have more than one radiator.

Some of us have more than one radiator.

So that's confirmation of a family bleed then!

I can't find the bloody valve on the bathroom one, it's the vertical "modern" type.
Any solutions?
Clearly it needs bleeding as the top 2 bars are cold.
