Triple Distilled Irish Whiskey
Blended to perfection with triple distilled pot still, malt and grain whiskeys and matured for many years in oak casks, Paddy is a soft and mellow whiskey with a sweet, malty finish.
With a rich heritage dating back to 1779, Paddy® owes its name to the legendary distillery salesman, Paddy Flaherty. Famed throughout his native county Cork for buying rounds of his favourite tipple, he became so synonymous with the whiskey he sold, that in 1913 the distillery owners paid him the ultimate tribute by renaming the whiskey ‘Paddy’ in his honour. Made from a unique blend of pot still, malt and grain whiskeys, Paddy is a soft and mellow whiskey with a sweet, malty finish. Enjoy it neat, on the rocks or mixed.

A great irish whiskey on offer until 27/05/19 in store and online
Had this working out in Ireland. Decent tipple heat added
Paddy for a paddy.... love paddy. Rate it more than jamie
Same price on Amazon.
Not bad at all, although I think Tullemore Dew is my favourite of the Irish whiskies under £20 a bottle.

No Proper Whiskey available?

there’s always one
find a better one for 15 quid!
For £15, this is just about drinkable. But if you really want to take pleasure out of drinking whiskey, you need to go higher up on your price point.

If you want something enjoyable, I would suggest Jamesons Caskmates, it's twice the price, but worth it in my opnion.

You can often get the caskmates for around £20 so no contest in my mind Jameson every time
Good price but why do the Irish Whiskeys vary from £15 one minute to £25 the next?

Supermarket/Amazon pricing: there are a subset of Scottish whiskies that are exactly the same and always on offer somewhere. The thing to do is never ever buy them at full price, and know the ones that are less frequently reduced.

That's just the luck of the irish?! Tullamore dew is also my favourite Irish whiskey also in my local Tesco at £ 15 ( wife not very happy at my stockpiling)
so many questions from a Whisky/ey beginner but....as Jameson is mentioned here I see 3 sub £20 Jamesons, the straight and the two caskmates.
which to go for? I like sweet drinks generally but not harsh alcohol after taste.
suggestions?
Tullamore D.E.W is on my list to research aswell as 3 or 4 others.
thanks.
