First up, the weblink above is for info only!

To get the offer price of $34.99 (£25.25ish), you need to have a eligible, registered copy of "Corel PSP" installed on you PC/laptop and access the upgrade (which, according to "Spannerzone" is apparently the full version) via the program itself.

Launch "Corel PaintShop Pro", click on the the "Help" menu, click on "Welcome" and select the "Upgrade" tab.

The standard version of "Corel PaintShop Pro 2018 Ultimate" is currently £34.99 on Amazon, but if upgrading from a previous version, you can get the "Ultimate" for the same price and which is which is normally £58+ on Amazon.

However, if upgrading via an existing eligible registered copy of "Corel PaintShop Pro", you can get the "Ultimate" version for $34.99 (£25.25ish)

Upgrade Eligibility
To purchase this product, you must own a previous licensed version of Corel® PaintShop (Pro or Ultimate). Please note that upgrade eligibility excludes Academic, Home and Student, OEM and Not for Resale (NFR) versions.

==========
Upgrade to PaintShop Pro 2018 Ultimate for an exclusive bonus collection of premium software:
* Painter Essentials 5
* Perfectly Clear 3 SE
* AfterShot 3
* ParticleShop (with 5-Brush Starter Pack)

==========

How to get the "Corel PSP Ultimate" upgrade:

Open "Paintshop Pro X9", click on "Help" > "Welcome" and select the "Upgrade" tab.

You can then purchase direct from within the "Corel PaintShop Pro" program.

Even buying the upgrade from the US "Corel PaintShop Pro" website is more expensive @ $63.99 (£46.17)

Normal price for the included "ParticleShop" plugin is $39.99 (£28+).
Community Updates
Full Version (non upgrade) is available for £30.99 or less if choosing USD$ - see my post below for special secret sauce link to get this. This is not an upgrade and you'll get a full licenced full product.

You gotta love HUKD thermometer!

Two versions of "Corel PSP 2018" listed today (one by my good self) with massively varying temps, with the much better version (the one I listed) going sub-zero with the lesser version hitting 200+.

Corel PSP 2018 (Regular) = 220 Degrees
Corel PSP 2018 (Ultimate) = -15 Degrees

Seems weird as the "Ultimate" version is so much better value with it being the same price as that of the regular version mentioned in another post.

Kind of make the heat system on HUKD irrelevant really.

At a glance one is an upgrade and one a full version, no?
How are you getting it down to £34.99? When I click the get deal button and choose upgrade, it comes to £62.99 for me.

looks that way, unless there is a cheap product to buy to allow access to upgrade path then i can see the reason for the temps!
What's the difference between this psp and Photoshop cs3 does anyone know please?
To OP - I got an Ulitmate upgrade price of £30.99 last night when I opened up PSP X9 and clicked on the updates window.I've captured the weblink that the upgrade window briefly creates but cannot get it to work outside of PSP x9 window (it goes to a webpage within PSP X9 program, although I'm sure it's a modified IE webpage masked to look like the PSP x9 application).... I'm hoping to get it working tonight once I've decoded the weblink.

In actual fact although it's accessed via PSP x9 as an upgrade, it's a the full Ultimate program for £30.99 and the upgrade is double!!

I'll try and post a deal later when at home

Any PSP X9 owners out there please try and check, first time it might show a higher price, second time you look it might have reduced to £30.99 - you might find a different price depending on what and where you click... one upgrade does it within the program itself, making a payment window appear... another click option takes you to a webpage (within PSP) that is clearly a dumbed down browser with no options to copy links etc)

You've got a core group here who will automatically vote a hot deal even hotter and a cold deal even colder without bothering to read - that in combination with the "time travel group" and it's difficult to actually find which are the genuine hot deals here.
I was half expecting to see posts along the lines of "Cold - can pirate it for less" - that too is another group, those that pirate software and think any deal where you buy it is cold.

To get the deal price (you need to have Corel PSP installed already):

You can then purchase directly from within the "Corel PaintShop Pro" program.

On my Ulitmate PSP x9 I get the upgrade option for £30.99 and it's the full program, not an upgrade... I'll try post more later tonight.

From memory, i clicked the news section in PSP x9 (or whatever the bit is called that sells add ons) and first time it was £60.99 and second time looked it was £30.99

Correct, but the upgrade is a much better deal for those who already have a registered copy of Corel PSP (even an aging version), which is who this deal is aimed at being an upgrade.

I've better things to worry about in reality, but the difference in temp always astounds me on HUKD, which is why I personally think it is irrelevant.

for someone not bothered about this you are certainly having a good old whine about it

if you want to 'compete' with the other deal (which you obviously do) then you need to appeal to all potential users - not just upgraders
whats the cheapest program i can buy that will then allow me to upgrade?

what does ultimate get over the standard version?

as it stands they are not equivalent so the heat of the other means nothing

You really have no idea about what you are talking about, do you?

All I said is that the heat system on HUKD is irrelevant as people vote down deals just because they are no good to them without offering a cheaper alternative and probably don't even know why they are down-voting.

All this does is make a deal look unattractive to members who would have otherwise found it useful but were put off by unnecessary cold votes. This only ends up with certain members possibly missing out on a decent deal.

The deal I posted was for specifically for "Upgraders" only, so in theory only "Upgraders" should decide whether it's a good deal or not.

For what is worth, I really don't care about heat or your opinion at all, so your presumptions really are pointless.

I only really give a tosh if someone finds this useful and I only found this the upgrade option after checking out the Amazon deal for a retail version in the other post and wondered if it would be cheaper from within "PSP X9", which is were I got my last cheap upgrade (from X7 IIRC).

As for competing? You are having a laugh, right?

You need to wind your neck in and mind your own business.

Have you even looked at the OP?

For one, the "Ultimate" upgrade is far superior than the other deal in that it comes with extra bonus software:
Upgrade to PaintShop Pro 2018 Ultimate for an exclusive bonus collection of premium software:
* Painter Essentials 5
* Perfectly Clear 3 SE
* AfterShot 3
* ParticleShop (with 5-Brush Starter Pack)

"ParticleShop" is normally $39.99 on its own

For two, it is almost a tenner cheaper.

.......and FYI, I didn't actually go to the other thread to whine as you so eloquently put it, I actually posted on the other deal first.

After that, I checked my copy of "Corel PSP X9", which I got from a cheap upgrade from "Corel PSP X7" a couple of year ago IIRC and decided to post the deal here. Not to compete but as an alternative.

I really don't understand why you've got your knickers in a twist over this, but I guess you must be those miserable inflammatory types who just like causing an online argument.

Surely you've got something better to do?

If not, just go away anyway and bug someone else!

OK here is the link I've extracted, I had to clear my internet cache as it kept referring to the previous price of that Paintshop Pro purchasing page. IE won't work but Firefox does for me.

I would copy and paste this into a cleaned web browser (firefox seems to work for me) and it should give anyone a full download (not upgrade) to Paintshop Pro Ultimate for £30.99 (or less if you choose $)
To preserve the link I've broken the https at the start as HUKD destroys it just copy the link, remove DOTCOM and replace with ".com" . Don't forget to go via Quidco/Topcashback as that's worked for me before and got another 10% cashback

ht tps://store.paintshopproDOTCOM/1184/purl-ESDPSP2018ULML-IPMAM6?pricerule=standard&x-vehicle=Upsell-sc&_ga=

It seems tempermental, any browser that has already been to the site shows a different price.... hopefully it might work for some. I can get the full software purchasing page up and it's full version so no previous version is required. While it's technically only for existing customers, it's odd they offer a full package at a cheap price and their actual upgrade package is double the price.

Spannerzone, how did you manage to get from the in-program upgrade offer to a webpage/weblink where you could change the currency?

Mine just takes me to a small payment window as shown below:

Ah so there is another way to upgrade via PSP X9 - you click on Help>Messages and there's a message about upgrades... that takes you to another window in PSP but it's clearly a dumbed down webbrowser, whilst you cannot use the usual tricks to copy web pages or open in new tab etc, when you go to this page it very briefly gives a long web address in the top of the window, only flashes up for a fraction of a second but a screenshot captures it, it's in ASCII so a bit of decoding is required (yes I'm a nerd) - and I manually type the address from the screen shot image I captured, converted the bits that are in ASCII (not too hard with a table found on google). Then remove some bits at the end of the webpage that isn't needed (and possibly idenitifable to my program) and then you can open up the upgrade page in a regular web browser.

I had to clear cookies and cache in my browser otherwise it kept showing the wrong price or page.... but with some patience.
Interestingly sometimes you can change certain bits of that webpage to give different pricing options! - I know some people have had a £20.99 full version upgrade option pop up so it may be possible to get that with a bit of tinkering.

I'll try what you said later.

However I did get them to match the price @ £30.99 via chat.

On second thoughts though, although I requested a refund for my "accidental" purchase, I may still buy that way using a no currency conversion fee credit card once my refund is complete. It'll probably be the upgrade version as opposed to the full version, but it will be a bit cheaper @ £25ish.

Just looking through previous orders with Corel, I actually got "Corel PainShopPro X9" for £19.99 a couple of years ago.

DONE!
Once again thanks.

I never think to pay in other currencies, even though it is not a problem via Paypal or if you have a CC that does not charge fees for currency exchange.
Shows you what the 'real' costs must be if Corel can still make a profit from CAD$34.99 !!!
The UK, of course, pays a premium because the 'market will stand it' .... (usual 'line' when you query the price difference).

Also forgetting that pushing those 'bits' all the way to the UK costs so much more !!!
If paying with PayPal is there a currency conversion cost?

I see my link for £30.99 full product is still working - my link goes direct to Corel, states it's the full program and not an upgrade (so no previous software required) - NOTE you don't see this price if you've previously been on their site, the cookies stop the new lower price showing unless you clear cache/history etc or use another browser.

I'd go via topcashback/quidco as that's earned me 10-20% cashback in the past.

There is no direct cost, just Paypal may use a slightly lower exchange rate, so it costs slightly more.
Roughly it was 60p vs other exchange rates I got off the Internet.
Probably in real terms less as the rates you get on the internet you never get in Thomas Cook
