2 for 79p Home Bargains if you've got one closer

Can't ever have enough of these. They need to exist in every drawer you have at home, those are the rules.

These are kind ok. we got 5 for £3 at B&Q sunday.
They are not the best quality (the square at the end is a squared circle) and fitted 4 of the 6 rads I tried them on.
the other 2 they just didn't want to fit onto. Was going to buy a new plug for those two but managed to find another different one in the house and it had no problem seating correct. Old adage buy cheap buy twice.
ended up buying this set just to be safe ebay.co.uk/itm…586

49p for 1 in wilkos

The man drawer!

Folks make sure your pressure is ok on your boiler after doing this - I'm no expert but bleeding will take System pressure down from optimum which is 1-1.5 bar - you can adjust it using fill tap.

Does anyone know how to increase the presser on the boiler after this is done? as mine has dropped to under 1 bar

Thanks in advanced to anyone that responds

there's a joke about bleeding me dry in there somewhere, but i cant be bothered.

I bet I'm the 20th person who knows that's gone by. Google 'filler loop boiler' or something similar. I can just about talk my mam through it on the phone while only chewing out one of my eyes and there's no way I'm going into it more that that on a forum as much as I'd love to.

2x radiator bleed keys for 99 pence, delivered? What a time to be alive... see doubters, it's not all bad news in post-Brexit Britain is it?

Heat OP!

it depends on your boiler setup. Usually there is a metal gauzes pipe bent in a 'U' shape (the pipe us not always left in place) , one end us connected to the mains water with some kind of valve and the other end is connected to the boiler again with another valve. The valve on the boiler end needs to be opened and open up the valve on the mains end slowly until the pressure dial on the front of the boiler reads around 1.5 - 2 bar.

Great to see people getting excited about Radiator keys.

thats far too high when cold. stick to 1 bar. it normally says in your manual anyway

I bought some cheap aluminium ones - maybe poundland or similar and they just bent / snapped - the brass ones are much better.

These are always this price or less. Who votes for these things.

Great find! Just what I needed
