I have these and they are great!!
Anyone know where you can get the unit which controls the touch system?

I have a couple of really nice touch lamps which have stopped working and is a shame to throw them out of I can get them fixed.

Tried all the usual places but nowhere seems to sell the control unit on its own.
Just what I was needing and without me having to search. Many thanks

Happened to one of mine, just installed a standard lamp switch and moved it to the other half's side of the bed
Just reserved some to collect tomorrow
Thanks, pick these up later
Heat! Been looking for some good price 3-brightness touch lamps.

Amazon UK sell various lamp touch sensors that you can fit but they have their restrictions (bulb type, wattage) and I don't know how easy they are to fit.
Replacement cover for 3 years is showing as £2.49, might be worth bolting on if folks are worried about reliability. I think I'll add it in view of these comments.

Good price for a pair of lamps.
Shame that they aren't led lamps...
What bulb fitting do these take?

Trick with these is to avoid triggering sensor when changing bulb/moving lamp. If you disconnect from mains first, will last a lot longer. Holding on to the lamp for a significant amount of time will blow sensor!

Well they can be LED, depending on which bulb you get. Can't find any mention of fitting, I'm assuming BC fitting anyone?

It doesn't matter what type of fitting it has, you can simply buy a very cheap adaptor for almost any fitting , you can also buy an inexpensive led bulb from poundland which I think will work in a touch lamp, and befoer anyone **** off the poundland led's I have been using them since they started selling them over a couple of years, none have failed.

Oh cool yeah I suppose they're quite small aren't they, ta.
sorry for the **** that should have read shoutsbefore should have read before,,,arthritis in my hands doesn't help..
I give up
Just ordered. Thanks
got the square ones that were last on offer, one didn't work so stripped it down, very poorly made with a non connected wire in the unit.... fixed, work fine, well worth a tenner
These are four-touch ones - brighter, dim, dimmer and then off. I use energy saving bulbs and all three-touch show the same brightness - bulbs do not dim.
Good deal home base have similar. If purchased by 4th January you pay £5.19. Available online mocha colour

Shame they only sell them in pairs as I only need a single beside lamp.

I bought these about 3 years ago after finding them in a holiday cottage we were staying in and assumed they were expensive, so very happy to find they were argos cheap ones. Still on the first bulb and no problems with them at all. Love them.
Thanks! I was looking for this. Just reserved a pair!

Only singles but good shout, FYI I think those are the same as what Argos used to stock around 2 years ago (before replacing with the current style).

Was that due to ordering other stuff alongside to take it over a certain value, or any other way to achieve it?

Nope, they gave me delivery for free because it was a 'third party' delivering it instead of them or something.. Never seen that message before haha.

I never buy the extra cover as everything is covered by the EU Free of charge, two-year guarantee and if anything goes wrong they have to fix or replace .
