review:
£600/(655with 2TB HDD) for a Ryzen 3600 + 1660 Super = Amazing Value, CIT Case with built in ARGB fans + Additional fan kit/strobe perfect for anyone seeking a complete aRGB PC, (and decent temps), The 1660s offers really good FPS for the price tag and suitable for someone of this budget, very rare to see a £600 PC with a 1660super on the market, spec one offering this value.

GPU upgrades keep inline with the value of the system, if anyone desires an RTX 2060 or one of higher GPU which offer even further FPS increase such as the 5700xt....

The extra cost of £40 for the B550 looks stunning value too, seeing as this is currently £130 tag on the web, which is perfect if your fancy changing the cpu to a zen3 later on the year or perhaps next year.

IMO: Stunning deal for £600 or say £655.. with a nice 2TB drive in it.

(240GB ssd will need an extra drive, as per any budget originated PC, so hdds are good value to whack the games on,) keeps the cost down which means = cost on other things such as GPU where it matters most for that overall better system for the cost.

2TBs though the market are one of the best value ones too, 27.50per 1TB, some times a 3TB can be lower per 1TB value but to most that kinda takes the bisc to much so a good balance is 2TB

@sarden84 can you recommend me a build similar to this for 800 to 1000 …@sarden84 can you recommend me a build similar to this for 800 to 1000 thanks [Image]

1) go into this one: palicomp.co.uk/pc_…eek
change the case to coolmaster mb 520 +21 (RGB kit pre inc in package)
add in 2tb HDD + £55
Add in 5700xt +350

package consist of higher B450 + 512GB nvme,
total: £901

2) if u desire a 2070super: awd-it.co.uk/awd…tml
drop cpu to 3600, change motherboard to VDH, change gpu to 2070s, change case to the Cool master, change nvme to 512GB, add in 2tb, £985 (PS: copy the link, and the item description palicomp will price quote it too(3600), they did it for someone today, plus if u desire windows awd: £89 Palicomp:£50) nice click buy with the 2070super.

3) or going into this £600 deal, change case to cool master +£15. up the mb to B550 £40 +150 for that 5700xt,. and whack in 2Tb £55 = 860 (u can remove the 240gb ssd, + £85 for the intel like option 1, then £915 so that would be exactly like the first option but B550 there abouts, but u got a bit higher psu in the first one, but b550 cracker here.

alt idea for the ones which dont mind doing adding gpu / nvme, plus gives more choices.
4) palicomp.co.uk/pc_…eek
remove the nvme, so price drops to £395....... (or keep nvme)
add in the 2TB hard drive total :
+21 for the cm case total: 471

buy this: Kingston A2000 £56

then gpu: Gigabyte WINDFORCE OC 3X 475 (better models)

or 5700xt: Gigabyte GAMING OC £359 on offer. (better models)

Total 5700xt 830 or 2070 super 1002 (£+34 if desire B550)

5th) palicomp.co.uk/amd…yz9
this one features a 3700xt + AIO Cooler 512GB nvme + 3TB inc, for £1000.... or £950 without the windows, does have a little drop on gpu to 5600xt so more for CPU over GPU kinda spec, but great value, so just change case again for that mb + £21, so £971 without windows.

So what ive done is gone though all the options with that case choice, for consideration, so take a look at all the links,

ill go into this a little bit more then "matter vs doesn't matter" but wont go into it fully as its a head game review.

is their some form of benefit for having games on an SSD "Yes", but the cost of such things = worthless for anyone eyeing up a budget build,

i.e Loading the game benefit, and so on, overall experience isnt worth the price tag, and that pretty much goes for 240GB+HDD or if u buy 512GB +HDD or 1TB+HDD at somepoint your space will go, and they will end up on HDD unless u wanna throw tons down, the benefits are not worth the loss spec if you are a budget person because such things then mean your going to have to cut the most inportant factor to any decent build and that is the GPU.

240GB SSD, most folks will whack their best game on the SSD, kids: "Fort" then all else on hdds.
Nice deal admittedly I paid half for a 2400g system but no GPU, if I could spend more this would be a very good option

Good price overall.

Just a tiny little detail. To those who would think about upgrading cooling to 240mm aio in this case. It won't fit at the top because your ram will be blocking it, it won't fit at the front either with 3 fans configuration. Only way you can fit it is if there's only 2 fans at the front. Otherwise a great case

No worries, I have this case and the 240mm aio and it was a pain trying to fit it. I have to have the fans in pull configuration as otherwise it won't fit in place.

Ah and also the included fans are only working from sata connector so there's no way of controlling the speed or rgb through your motherboard. I have changed mine as they were fairly loud. Rgb can only be controlled via reset switch on the case top panel.

sure pal. CLL/CCL.. im glad u did as most builds are not competitive atm., i think they got like one build in the stryker which is, under a 3100/5500xt which is n thats it, all other builds fail my layout i do.
Edited by: "sarden84" 1st Aug
To the knowledgeable in here...
Currently got an 3600 and Vega 56. Vega 56 is so loud and any sort of overclocking means it's crashes all the time.
I have a feeling it's the case. It's one of those NXT cases. They look good but offer no performance. Kind of like Apple products.

I think with the NXT cases, the air only comes in a tiny bit from the side so it's overheating.

Can you lads recommend the next big things in computer terms I should wait before before upgrading... Definitely think graphics card is my next upgrade within a year I think.
Game at 1080p but my monitor is 4k. Some games like total war I play at 4k because the icons are too small on the 55 inch TV at 1080p. Thanks all.
@sarden84

I am looking to run 2x Samsung S24F352F 24"Full HD monitors and i am mainly looking to use the PC for Trading so it mostly consists of having multiple internet browsers open nothing to heavy.

I have seen this build that i wanted to get your opinion on it and i would also like to know if you have any other builds in mind that would be use to me in a similar price bracket.

It is the CCL raven prime and with the customisation it is £477

Processor:
AMD Ryzen 5 3400G 3.7GHz 4 Core
Integrated Radeon RX Vega 11 Graphics

Motherboard:
ASUS PRIME A320M-K AMD Socket AM4 Motherboard

Memory (RAM):
HyperX FURY 8GB (2x 4GB) 2666MHz DDR4 RAM

Solid State Drive (SSD):
Adata SU630 480GB

Hard Drive (HDD):
1TB Seagate BarraCuda

Wireless LAN (WiFi):
No WiFi

Power Supply:
Antec NeoECO Gold ZEN 500W 80+ Gold PSU

Case:
Kolink Citadel Gaming Case - Black

Fans:
2 x Arctic F12 Case Fan

This is what i customised it to and it originally came with a Ryzen 3 3200g but i changed it to the 3400G For £46 will this make much difference for what i am using it for?

Also there is an option to change The Ram to: Adata XPG Gammix D10 16GB (2x 8GB) 3000MHz DDR4 for £20.

I am also going to try and download my own OS and but a cheaper wifi than the one listed.

Thanks.
Is this build better than the new ps5 or new xbox?

Hi pal.

ive recently gone over this one,its this this build here:

hotukdeals.com/dea…042

i would get the B450 board as stated inside this post and claim the cashback on it worth over the a320. and its cheaper too weird i know.

is it the best deal: well after the cashback its a build part for cost, bang on... so the quality is there, is it the cheapest 3400G
--> no cos the psu range is higher, which to higher build bonus, but to most gen 3400g users kinda pointless.

so under this 3400G - total is £463 -(25) time u whack in 1TB/480GB SSD (-7 less then ur idea cos of the a320 to b450)
3200G: £417 -(25) based on the same ideas as above but with 3200G

hotukdeals.com/dea…281
Palicomp did offer 3200G

3200G + A320M-K 16GB ram + 480GB + Wifi for £350 ....... so u could ask them how much for the 3400G.
(they charge £55 for a 2TB 3200g be 405) so if they quote about 50 extra for the 3400G then ur on to a winner with more storage, for the cost, but if not then the CCL deal is a clear winner on the 3400G

but under the palicomp deal post i did, i did pitch them for a nice 1200 +RX560..... this would give u a boost in GPU performance over the G set series, 1200--> 3400G does have its advantage in areas though on cpu its swings n roundabouts, for general web/desk the 3400g swings for u over.. but if u did fancy a little more gaming the 1200/560 has more advantage that way over the built in graphics. so a considerable idea.

AWD doesnt have anything competitive in respect of your changes under a 3400G, its more cost time u change their builds, as their low range start with say 2666mhz 8gbs. / 240sdd's

as a direct web link that CCL is a good pick, just sort the board out, claim the cashback. good pick,

I follow you on here @sarden84 as I'm looking to get a computer desktop towards end of year. My laptop is limping at the 5 years of age mark and would really like to get a desktop now I've sorted my office space out.

ive actually got these in my lads system (my old kami gamemax case).. i had an AIO for my build, but when i gave him the case i needed some fans for the top, the case has control box anyways, but this kit control box is alot more RGB sync options, i put the 3 fan kit fans on the front, put the case fans on the top, and left the back, remote control for him to, its a right little disco ball with the strobe, he loves it. happy days. = me peace lol

Yes it does. In some games like Path Of Exile, you'd install that game on your SSD for several reasons:
1) You're constantly redownloading the entire game.
2) It takes a long time to load and when you're in the game there is delays to images loading so that your stash will appear half blank.

Personally, when a different deal was available recently, I doubled the SSD to 512Gb - enough to be comfortable with space on C: drive and then added a 2Tb D: drive.

All games installed on D: drive, but one or two games where I play OFTEN and delays in loading and within game would cause frustration I switch the Steam install to C: drive. I have done that with Path of Exile and surprisingly Command and Conquer Remastered funnily enough.

Some games like Albion Prelude (space trading game) there is no need - if you launch it, you can afford to wait a few seconds more and when playing there is no immediate need to pull a lot of data into memory as you're playing.

Thanks for the info bud. I like the look of the the CCL build. Im not to wise to the difference in mother boards what is the difference between the B450M - A and the B450M-PLUS GAMING?

Will this build easily manage two monitors as well or will it be pushing the PC?

Thanks. Looking to self build this year hopefully. Looks like it might be best to allocate some funds for a bigger SSD.

Lol, bet he does, ha ha!!..

I managed to pick it up from CPC for 32 delivered (chill10) 10% off all indoor fans, well it is a fan, lol and code worked!!.. sweet.

Reason I need it is the case I bought from you post (1st player D3) just has a standard 12v connection for fans I think, haven't received it yet so just covering myself, hope I can work out the connections?...

Cheers Sarden you've been fantastic buddy

Case is a big let down, a case should never have a glass front as you need to have a mesh front to let air in from those 3 fans. Best is plastic front grill
