Before the inevitable:

• No it won’t do 4K
• It’s pointless for mining (it’s not shaped like a pick axe)
• Yes, it will run modern titles at 1080p at very comfort frame rate and quality setting

Forgot one more thing, "Don't claim it can do maxed out in every game at 60fps"
I swear I see that everywhere
"First come first served basis" cheaky way to make people buy it and they dont even guarantee You will get it on next delivery. Or even one after that. Iam tired od this novatech GPUs deals. Even though i like novatech. On the other side, they dont lift the prices to crazy levels like competition do. Or maybe they do... on "in stock" cards atleast:)

Where’s the little drum gif and the “badum tish” sound effect
What's the difference in the names on the top left corner? Sorry for being a noob. I bought one that said gigabyte. Just don't understand why's there's different names.

Different manufacturers of the same card. Sometimes there's slight performance gains between them but its negligible.

actually these Palit cards are my favorite 1050tis for mining, low power, good overclockable memory and no power connector. but not at this price.
good card, does 4k movie playback, plays games great.
Only con for the palit version is you cannot turn the fan off so there is a constant noise even when its idle, its sounds similar to having an xbox 360 powered on but sitting idle.

Other than great decent card for those on a budget.
How loud are these for a HTPC?
If you have a fan already in your computer you wont notice the sound of the card. I really cannot hear the card over the processor, case and powersupply fans.

I am very pleased with the card. I play games at 2k resolution (2880 x1440 or very similar) and have been very impressed.
Is brand a big thing for graphics cards? Is this worth it as graphics card have gone up due to mining?

Rather than "Variable Lead Times - Stock Due Soon" they need to state how many are on back order...
People are so dumb these days any ways. They pump every setting up to max and then cry when their PC cannot do it. The difference between high and ultra is usually very minimal, you’ll get extra little things you barely notice, even more so in motion. Sometimes settings will just kill your framerate by like 40, which on a 1080ti you may not care, but when it’s offering nothing... why do you need that setting on?

I remember back in 2012 when msaa x 8 became a thing, games would need 4GB of vram to do it. People would just set their settings to ultra and call the game unoptimised when it ran poorly. Just set that to x4 and you’ll be fine, there’s barely a difference any ways.... but instead developers just stopped offering it.
This is the ideal GPU for gamers for the now, given the situation with graphics cards and mining. There's really no point hoping for a reasonable price or availability for 1060/1070/1080/rx 570/580. Miners don't want this card and wealthy gamers snub them, but the gaming performance is good enough.

I keep hearing the term "mining" is it in reference to bit coins? I thought they were coming back down. Or is there something else? Just curious.

You can't mine bitcoin on any GPU any more, or rather it's completely pointless and unprofitable as you're up against industrial operations with thousands of super specialised mining machines. There are other coins optimised for GPU mining and that's who's screwing with gamers.

GPU mining is often specifically programmed into a coin as it's less centralised because it's more accessible, but not very accessible right now.

It does 4K on certain stuff i.e I have my desktop in 4K and also games that don't use a lot of power seem fine in 4K too.

But it is mainly a 1080p card.

It was a facetious comment really, playing with the usual band of commenters on these types of threads.

I think lowspecgamer on YouTube has proved that almost any system can run almost any game if you mess with the configs enough and your mobo supports it.

Love these cards personally and agree that they punch a bit above their weight.
I bought this card few weeks ago on amazon. Was a bit cheaper then this still I think it`s good price considering what`s happening with GPUs as discussed above. The card is great, plays everything in 1080p on high or very high settings around 50-60fps. (Older games faster.) Also, It is quiet, clocks automatically higher quite well too. So can only recommend if nothing else. (In build and looks it`s nothing fancy so don`t expect much; plain black plastic and a fan on it. The eVGA 1050ti posted here as well looks fancier.)

You make bitcoin sound like a tin of beans! Price will go up and down much like gold or silver
hopefully you wont get one of these emails:-

Hello,

You currently have one or more orders with us for a quantity of Graphics Cards, so we'd like to give you a little update on their status.

Due to a massive surge in demand due to crypto-currency mining many graphics cards have sold out everywhere and are in constraint from the Manufacturers. They have been unable to keep up with the unprecedented demand, and as such our suppliers have completely run out of stock and this has caused a large backlog of backorders.

The manufacturers are currently in the process of ramping up their production and have informed us that more graphics cards will be available as soon as possible but cannot give us a firm date.

We apologise for this inconvenience and thank you for your patience in this global shortage.

Best wishes,
Novatech.
