I'd hold out to see if any 1080's come up again for £450
Yep this just makes that 1080 for £438 the other day look even better
4% saving!!
Shame i cant get rid or lower the £10 delivery charge.
Only 2 days to go so i am all in for Friday.
Got the 1080 a couple of days ago with destiny 2 for £438 (less than £430 with quidco) making this not particularly great.

Someone pass the time machine? I might buy another load of bitcoin from 5 years ago while I’m at it.

Where'd you come up with that one? Very original. Also, it has it's relevance but this is not one of those times.
There isn't really much difference between thee 1070ti and gtx 1080 though is there?

GDDR5 vs GDDR5X is the biggest difference. But it's an important one. If you're buying a card like this, you're probably at 1440p or above and the extra memory bandwidth at these higher resolutions can make a pretty worthwhile difference in performance. It's not going to be immense, but if you can find a 1080 for just £40 more, it's probably worth it.

This matches the power of a 1080 pretty much when overclocked
Not paying £10 for anything from any retailer utter nonsense esp when you just spent £400+.

True but you can also overclock a 1080..... so when the price is similar I know where I'd go

Overclocking a 1080 will only give it a 5-10fps increase over a 1070ti overclocked, so if it's more than £30 more expensive you'll probably get more power for your money with a overclocked 1070ti

Yeah that's the difficulty with the pricing as this sits smack inbetween 1070 and 1080 but it only takes one decent sale to make 1070ti and 1080 prices overlap. I picked up the 1080 that was on HUKD on Monday at £439 and comes with destiny 2 for free which I was planning on buying making the 1080 a £399 purchase for me if you take off what destiny would of cost me.

If you're at a higher resolution, that 5-10fps can be a 10-15% actual performance boost, which is a more relevant way to compare since different in framerate is obviously highly game-dependent. In another game it could be a 20fps difference.
I have a x34a ultrawide monitor and a 1080 and I wish I had a 1080ti because this card struggles to give me 100fps at 3440 X 1440p on ultra settings on most AAA games.

If u not ultrawide and 1440p, then this 1070ti or a 1080 is more than enough.
