An excellent high end GPU card for as little as it has ever been in UK.

If you suspect the new generation gpu will drop in price soon, think again; few reasons why: Brexit uncertainty, new China import duties, no competition at this point (AMD or Intel), crypto mining is still a thing, and, the card is only going to get better and faster as developers make their stuff compatible.

The next in line, a bit slower, gtx 1080Ti is unlikely to drop much as well, and, as old design, it will actually only get slower as no more optimisation for it. The 1080Tis (unless you pay premium for premium models costing same or more than this rtx) are hotter as got worse cooling solutions and so noiser.

Yeah, we would all like for this card to cost 499gbp but it is simply not happening. Take it or leave it.

Given that the 1080ti outperforms the 2080 for less than £500 you'd have to be insane to buy a 2080 over it. £300 extra for less performance? No thanks Nvidia.

My apologies, it is. But I'm still a bit concerned personally.

See if you can return it and get a better 1080ti instead and pocket the difference

You get a range between 3-5 year warranty with these. I agree rma wouldn't be a nice thing to deal with but it's not like you loose money

It's £650 for a half decent 1080ti, I was considering them but decided £100 extra for newer tech was worth it. And for info the 2080 comes out on top in most titles even on early drivers

Fair one. I was referring to ebay listings. I got a brand new one for 460 quid couple months ago.

A ti? Banging. Hoping people will hold out on the rtx and force a price drop... unlikely however.

Yeah msi gaming 1080ti.
NVidia are out of their minds with RTX pricing. They've gone full Apple.

I'm eager to see Steam hardware stats. Cards like these are not going to be mainstream. Not when Pascal offers much better £:performance.

Let's hope they don't sell too many and we see a more realistic RRP. I won't hold my breath though.

Will hold on to my Strix 1080 Ti for a while longer.
Good find. Seems to be beating of the 1080 Ti FE by a few fps in each of the tests here, bar one or two.

Can't vouch for this reviewer as it was just the first hit I found. Also watched without sound, so may have an annoying squeaky voice
Barely any performance difference between this and the 1080ti and considering the rtx cards are suffering a high number of failures i'd warn people to steer clear of these cards for the moment.
As for the guy telling you these prices won't drop, he is talking garbage.
This launch has been a disaster and although the majority of failures are the 2080ti, there is a larger than normal amount of failures of the 2080 being reported as well.
Unless you are buying from someone who has a good return policy and the price is around the 599 mark don't listen to guys like the OP at all and touch these cards with a barge pole.
£575 on Amazon. I purchased it due to cheaper than 1080 Ti:), delivery estimate is Jan/Feb:)

Will leave it there in as TBC status. If I find anything else better I can always cancel it.

Cancelled it, crappiest 2080 out there. Would rather pay a little more, like the £699 deal at PC World:(

Reviews I've seen say it's fine. Slightly faster than the founders edition and quieter at idle.

Amazon returns policy and free delivery? No brainer!
