Would'nt buy another Palit card, currently own a 2070 jetstream and had nothing but bother with it. If you get one of these download the clean drivers from guru3d without geforce experience.

Interesting...I've had several Palit cards over the years and not had any issues.

Geforce experience issues, had a few cards also.
Nothing wrong with Palit, the GameRock and JetStream coolers are as good as the Gaming X and Strix range!

Have a search for stuttering in games

Its not GFE causing the stuttering.

Could be something wrong with your setup or like you said your graphics card.

I paid 480 quid for the blower x version by Palit. To me, this is a deal! Good spot OP!
Nothing wrong with the card but ccl said use the drivers without gfe and they worked perfectly. Odd as my new msi 2070 super works ok with gfe
£110 more than the 5700XT HERE! Seems like a bad move given the low % gains for this over the XT. The 2070S needs to be more like £399 to make sense from a financial point of view.
449.99 update the price!

I respectfully disagree. There is no right or wrong answer on this, but from my perspective, this is why I haven’t come to the same conclusion:
The 5700XT is a fantastic proposition- coming very close to 2070 Super in rasterisation performance. However. New consoles are coming. And they will have HW accelerated Raytracing. If I’m spending 4-500 pound on a GPU I want it to be relevant for as long as possible. Now I know that in general this is a losing battle with any PC hardware product, if you own it, it’s already out of date. But I went for the 2070 Super myself simply because RT will be prevalent when the lowest common denominator (consoles) have it as a baseline feature. At that point, as a PC player, I don’t want to be missing bells and whistles to a box that costs the same as the GPU I brought 12-18 months prior.
The 5700XT is a great product, but I see the extra on RTX paying for itself tomorrow, even if it doesn’t today.

As you say no right or wrong answer, I think however a baseline has been established that unless you are playing 1080p/60Hz then anything below the RTX 2080 Super for ray tracing is almost a waste of time.

Both the new consoles from MS/Sony will feature AMD CPU and GPU's, so I'd imagine any port from them will run much better on the equivalent AMD hardware, for the most part.

Again, as you said you can't really future proof and by the time the next Gen consoles are out in Nov 2020, and early 2021 for a decent software catalogue the, GPU on the 2070S cards will be over 2 years old and a new card costing £250 will end up offering more RT performance.
Can this be overclocked to how much ? Why are 2070s expensive price of a next gen console
