Hi all,

I have an Amazon voucher coming through soon and know exactly what i will be using it on. Can it be true a 1 gig GTX 460 for £136..I think the new ATIs looked good but for this price i would imagine these 460s are still offer great cost performance.

Just to add if you do vote cold then please let me/us know why ie better value cards out there! That would be much appreciated. I just think for the price the cost performance of this card is very good but for the same sort of price if you can think of better then please let us know.

I paid £170 for this on release - great card. I have it overclocked to the platinum levels and it's rock solid - pleanty more headroom to overclock further, but there is no need - I'm able to max everything I throw at it.

nice to see them getting cheaper, but i will grab gtx470 then it goes under £150.
very good price

Good price. Hot.

That is HOT , last few days all these gtx460 deals really great HOT HOT

I got the GTX460 768mb from OCUK when it was £115 with a HAWX 2 voucher (which I have yet to receive), it is a good card and like Macdory says they overclock like a dream.
I have mine on 850 clock, 2000 memory with no extra volts and that puts it ahead of the HD5850 on many benchmarks.

This is a great price and from Amazon too, I like their customer service.

i have 2 460 gtx 768mb in sli best drivers i have found is 159.31 these are the only 1s which dont give stuttering on games..

Good price, but my Palit 8800GT 1GB is still going strong so I can wait a bit longer

my geforce 2 gts was going strong but needed replacing years ago

For anyone running the latest games at high resolutions then an 8800gt would be replaced asap

this is a hot deal amazing value, makes the 6870 for £190 (when its even in stock) look like a joke. I personally have just ordered a 580 but wondering about just going for this and saving a bit of money

Nice to see some value returning to the GPU market. This is a great price, but I'm convinced we'll see a sub-£100 460 in the next month or two.

As a previous poster has already stated, my 8800gt is still doing the business nearly 3 years on, so it's difficult to justify this at the moment.

is it worth upgrading from a Ati 5770 1gb to this?

It's slightly quicker - but if you are able to run your games at a good setting now, then why bother?

I upgraded from an 8800Gt and the step change is massive.

i generally wait until i'm no longer able to max games, and then start looking for a new card. the joys of console gaming means that most games are ported to the PC and the spec requirements are not increasing like they used to.

Nah, The 8800gt is ok at the moment, Fallout New Vegas works like a dream at and it looks better than the XBOX at 1080p so I can still wait. And Starcraft II works fine as well. Will double check with Hot Pursuit and Fable 3 once it comes out.

Well i have a 8800GT but not sure i agree it is still going strong- i mean it can play new games on medium settings but with a 460 we could play on high and using DX11. Remember if your psu is up to it you could use the 8800GT as the physix engine.
Not sure if anyone knows but a could you use a 8800GT as the physix card with only the mother board supplying the power? Would that work if i needed to do it ?

got a nvida 9800 gx2 (1gb) gets very hot you could use it as a heater is this better or on par?

nice deal. tbh i would pay ~£5 more though and get a gigabyte/ asus / msi version from scan when they have the card on a today only deal. still hot tho

DX10 more like, there's only about 7 games that actually support dx11.

worth upgrading from a gtx260+?

Looking at the below Graphics Card Hierarchy Chart i would say no
The gtx260+ is still a pretty meaty graphics card to be honest. Unless you could sell it for a good amount?
