Anyone wanna lend me £500?
Might be better to just go with a 1070ti for £50+ less? Performance between the two is very small.

Or even better grab a second hand one for ~£350!

Wont be that price till the new cards arrive
I bought this card about 6 months ago for £500. Probably one of the best 1080's. Very quiet and cool. Reccomended.
Considering a deal just posted (1070ti £419 nvidia website) that is more value for money than this I think.

Is this what they were talking about, Nvidia slashing prices by upto 40%? Might go down even more?

What makes you say it's one of the best?

For games, I agree it would be very close in performance - but there are none in stock. For CUDA I don't know. Maybe the extra cores as GDDR5X memory would be worth the extra £75.

In any case, NVIDIA add in cards are released in very small numbers I think - they are very hard to get hold of.
