There's an app in Android Play Store which can compare the prices per nappy... Very useful app and it's called appropriately BumDeal!
Use Terry nappies, "Using Real Nappies is an action that can be placed at the very top of the waste hierarchy as it helps you reduce the waste that you are creating in the first place and also means that you are reusing an item again and again. Consequently Real Nappies have next to no impact on landfill sites as opposed to the 3 billion disposable nappies that are thrown away each and every year in the UK, 90% of these are landfilled. A baby in disposables will need nearly 2000 nappy changes for every year he or she is in nappies, that’s 4- 5,000 disposable nappies in a landfill site, or 24 Real Nappies hanging on your washing line!"

Real Nappies! so 60's Im using slit-bottom pants called kaidangku. All the rage in China. Just squit and go. The little ones love them too.
Link doesn't go anywhere. Does anyone know if this would include swim nappies?

Preachy? Yeah, filling landfill sites when it is avoidable is preachy is it?
What's the cost per nappy for size 2 and size 3?

What if it's raining 200 days of the year so you have to tumble dry them? You would have to do a few extra loads of washing a week as I wouldn't want fecal matter getting in with the other clothes. Not to mention washing at 60 degrees to kill the bacteria. What impact is that having on the environment? Go preach elsewhere and let people do what they feel is best for them.
Bummer, we were desperate for some and got a load from Amazon for 12p/nappy which was best of all deals last week

Thing is, we no longer have to 'cope'. I bet your mother also uses an iPhone now and watches a flat screen TV that she couldn't cope without nowadays.
I'm not preaching anything. I'm saying you shouldn't make people feel bad for using disposables and doing all those extra washes has an equally big impact on household bills and the environment you seem to care so much about. If both parents work 40 hours a week and don't have time to fanny about washing dozens of soiled nappies every other day then that is their preference.
