These are simply Paracetamol & caffeine ..... just as effective to take 2 Paracetamol capsules from a pack of 16 for 39p & wash down with a coffee, tea or can of coke

These tablets are soluble. They are not the same as ordinary capsules. Good deal

Ahh so they taste gross as well

There is little to suggest these would work any better than capsules with a hot drink or a coke

It should also be noted that these have a high sodium content so should be avoided by anyone with high blood pressure

My sister & brother in law own their own pharmacy & my brother in law is a qualified Pharmacist of 40 years standing.....

All effervescent painkillers use sodium bicarbonate......from my own personal knowledge having had this type of medication (only stronger) prescribed for rheumatoid arthritis for years I was put onto non soluble versions because the high sodium content was causing hypertension ..... since going onto non soluble my blood pressure has returned to normal levels. I can also attest to the fact that soluble worked no faster or more efficiently than non soluble

Spot on!

Branded painkillers are a mug's game - generics are almost given away.

Not quite my point but yes a good one....

16 Ibuprofen 200mg tablets will cost around 40p in a supermarket
12 Nurofen 200 tablets will cost nearer £2

Guess what....they both contain the same 200mg of Ibuprofen .....

Pharmacist here. Buy generic drugs this is not a deal. Caffeine is used as an adjuvant in many other countries. We don't have it any prescription medicines as there is no need evidence. Also, the amount of caffeine they add in these formulations is much less than that in a cup of real coffee

I think some people are missing the point here.

Forget the brand, forget the caffeine content, if you need or want soluble paracetamol these are a good price for 24 x 500mg.

The brand and the caffeine are secondary and irrelevant to most people.

Thanks for the heat from those that appreciated it

I'm not missing the point...yes it's a good price for the product but it's actually not suitable for many who actually use the soluble options & don't realise there is one hell of a lot of hidden sodium in there
