No-one should shout you down. Every contribution made on this board is helpful to someone even if the smart-a*ses are on here like lightning to rubbish deals just because it does not meet their criteria. And it is over £500 at Amazon!!

Good spot Pedrodood. Are Laskys any good?
Pretty sure that Lasky's are owned by Comet.

would rather buy from comet but the other TV has same features a bigger screen.

the cashback on the Sony is applicable no matter where you buy the TV, so see if Comet do it for the same price maybe or get them to price match for £449.
A very good deal. 2.52% Topcashback too. Holders of the NHS Black Card can get a further 5% back at Comet.
Laskys are DSG group, send no relationship to Comet.

Thats weird as it says on their website "This Website is operated by Laskys, a trading name of Comet Group PLC, whose registered office is Hull Business Centre, George House, George Street, Hull HU1 3AU"

No they're not, most definitely part of Comet they even share the same address in Hull SEE HERE. They are Comet's equivalent to Dixon's website I think. Heat added for the OP good price for a Panny also like THIS 42" Panny Plasma at just £50 more.
Does this TV have a USB slot? Says "TBC" on the website...

Any reviews anywhere? Am struggling to find...
Does anyone have some numbers re extra electricity cost (approx usage/left on) of plasma LCD vs LED per annum. It might be the deal breaker? Quite apart from being Mr Green.

Take a lot of the the figures with a pinch of salt,my 46" Samy LCD users less than 70 watts and its 4 years old,but it's rated at 235 watts? All to do with your settings.

They make their share of 'duds' like this one.

Which? Magazine April 2011. Pages 50 - 53

Best TV Brands for overall performance
1. Samsung. Score 66%
2. Panasonic. Score 65%
3. Sony. Score 62%
4. LG. Score 61%

Best TV Brands for overall reliability
1. Sony. Score 97%
2=. Panasonic & LG. Score 96%
4. Samsung. Score 95%

The big 4 manufacturers are so close overall, it's best to focus on the merits of the individual TV, irrespective of brand.
