For review click here. Verdict 8/10

This TV is actually made in Japan, which cannot be said of many 'Japanese' TVs sold in the UK.

It's predecessor, the TXP42S20, rarely dropped below £500 with 1 Year Warranty.

This deal, with 5 Year Warranty, is hot.

OOS

Amazing bargain we have a panasonic shop in Leicester !

It says
"(Please ensure that Freeview HD coverage is available in your local area before using this TV)."
Sorry to sound thick but
What does that mean? I'm not bothered about freeview or HD as I have sky+. could i buy this TV and use it as normal with my sky+. ?

Yes.

It comes with a stand as well?

OP where di you get all those tech specs from? I cant see them on the site. And there is no mention of 5 year warranty on the TV. It says on selected TVs but is this one of them?
Thanks.

You live in Leicester LOUGHBORO GUY? I feel your pain! X)

Lol

it does include warranty , just go to panasonic store. you dont need the freeview

site says out of stock

That is extremely good price - a lot of plasma goodness for sub-£500 = WIN!!

Get your Pana' Plasmas whilst you can - unfortunately even Panasonic are cutting down on Plasma output - possibly even coming out of the market completely the way financial things are going.

Is it not the same one at John Lewis for only £549 also with a 5 year guarantee?

I doubt it. I think they're closing down 3 of their 4 Japanese plasma plants and concentrating more on the LCD market. It's cheaper technology and used in more appliances so with economies of scale and all that - even the AV market has changed - people want what's cheapest hence why we're all on this site i guess. So with that said and the 50" plus market being such a niche i think that would be the last thing on their mind although i would happy to be proven wrong as it's such a shame to see arguably the best long-standing plasma manufacturer pull out.

Thanks did not know such shops existed. Looks good for JL price matches

Why would you go to JL? You sure a Panasonic (my local is just a dealer) shop is not nearby? Sure JL will find some reason to wriggle out of matching as usual.
p.s. if Panasonic is the cheapest price then something is wrong - they will lower price by £150-£200 usually if you ask!

I was going to buy from amazon, i was down lakeside shopping and happen to see the shop and went to take a look at the tv, quality so on.

Whilst i was in there, they tried to offer me the 3d version, i said no i want this one, they asked how much i have found it for and i said £480.

He said we have it is £469.99 with 5 year warranty. It was at the front of the shop with sale tap around the display one. At the time they had a few in stock. Im not sure about now as the deal is very good since it was purchased straight from Panasonic.

The spec i got from a differnet site as the store site does not have the specs. But all specs match the same as the tv box i have here.

Must say i was very impressed. Hope you guys can get this deal too.

Oh and if you would like to see the 5 year warranty as proof i can take a photo of it and post.

Dixons also have it for £451 but you can get Quidco (3% would be approx £14 off)

However I would much rather deal with Amazon - their customer service is the best in the business for me.

Hello , looks like it's gone now, somebody probably saw my post, it was there this morning before i went to work. Nothing wrong with audiovisiondirect though fair enough as it's alot of money to take chances on.

showing as 1 in stock, quick buy it!

The lats time i looked at this the other day it had gone down to £391 and there was 1 in stock.
Now its shwing as back to £469

Can anyone advise if there is any Panasonic Plasma similar to this but cheaper? I am not bothered if it is full HD or not and I don't need 3D, as I mostly watch sports and am not that far away from the television anyway to benefit much from Full HD. The only thing is I'd like it to be anti-glare screen so I wont have any reflections especially if there is any light or sunlight i.e. I don't want to only be able to view it well in a dark room. One of the cheaper 37" models I have seen met all my requirements except for not being so good when it came to the glare and reflections. Most of the stuff I watch will be a mix of SD and HD. I have HD in both 720p and 1080p as well as having SD so I figure HD Ready as opposed to full HD is a good option anyway as it is halfway in between the two and I wont have as much adverse SD performance upscaling (artifacts etc) or full HD from downscaling.

Cheaper Panasonic Plasmas don't have anti-glare screens.
