It's a vestel

As far as I remember, 700 are genuine Panasonic where 5** and 6** are Vestel.

You could well be right Daz!

Whoever is a manufacturing this set, it seems to have a couple of solid reviews. And having seen this set in action (even though briefly) I thought it offered a decent image and good value, especially at this price.
All wrong.

ANYTHING below a 600 series is licensed to and made by Vestal.

Everything above is directly manufactured by Panasonic.

Helping my parents to pick a new TV and they like Panasonic, considering this 700 or an 800 at the moment. Saw the comments about it being a Vestel, so had a look around and found very little on it (loads about the 550 though). The only other comment I found said that the 700 definitely wasn't a Vestel.

That would confirm what I initially thought.

If you can, get the 800 series

Yeah but it's £650 vs this being £389, and looking at the extra features it has I don't think it will make that much difference for my parents, so I think this one is a much better deal in my case.
