How does the 5 year extended warranty work if you do not renew the yearly Costco membership? Is it null and void?

It’s through Panasonic registration so shouldn’t be a problem. I went for the RicherSounds price beat deal. Delivery expected Saturday at £534.89

Tempted to pull the trigger - however something telling me to wait a few more days!
Narrowed down my search for either this or LG 49SM8500PLA 49"

Using a crappy 37" Toshiba as my Plasma gave up recently (after 10 great years of use). I don't think I can stretch to an OLED, so these two sets seem to be the best of mid rangers.

Oh forgot to mention the LG Nano range including the SM90 on at Currys for £749 don’t get great reviews. Backlighting is slow, suffer from vignetting in all four corners (actually saw this on the display model in Currys). My lad opted for the 58” version of the Panasonic last week and he’s delighted with it.

I am in the same boat, too much a stretch for me to reach OLED prices. I am considering Philips Ambilights 55 or 58 inches, might even go for 65 inches, yet to make up my mind. Never considered the ones you mentioned, how do these two weigh up against the ambilights if I may ask?

u need to add membership when checking out.
and the coupon will be invalid after that.
Can’t you just get your membership first
Is the price jumping up to to 549 for anyone else?

Looks like it’s gone up £10. As I said I went for the “£10 Price Beat” at RicherSounds. Extra warranty at just £534.89. It was no haggling either. Simple call to their Telesales quoting the £539.95 + £15 membership and they beat it straight away. Only have to wait to stock arrives.
Did you call general telesales or a specific store? The telesales guy just said as he doesn't have any in stock right now he can't take my order..

Telesales. They didn’t even check the Costco web site, just said straight way they’d beat it by £10. No quibble whatsoever

They’ve obviously got limited stocks coming then. To be fair at now £10 more the Costco deal is still a cracking price
Surely this is one of the best 50" 4K TVs you can get for this price?

I’d go as far to say nothing else £ for £ at the moment will touch its overall performance. techradar.com/uk/…-tv

I was looking at the exact same models , or a LG b9 OLED . Watching normal tv on the OLED I f def isn’t feel was a major enough difference . The SM8500!has a nice OS. But went for the 65” on this tv as I like the picture. My in laws have a 3 year old version without the HCX processor and that looks superb with real depth. Richer sounds have a 7 day price pro ice so if you get them to price match now, not only do you get a six year warranty , if it’s cheaper on bf or cm they will refund the difference 🏼
Why is this listed on here as “no longer valid”. It is still live

They went OoS today but back in now. I’ve asked for it to be reactivated thanks Eddie. Still £50 cheaper than any other supplier as far as I know

Ah ok, Yes, I got richer sounds to price beat. I figured if the TV got good reviews priced at £750, it’s a bargain at £530-£550.

What did you get RS to do the price beat at, the £539.99+£15?

No. I’m a Costco member so asked if they would match that, so excluded the £15. £530.

Mid day Monday 25th. It was against Costco at £539 + 15, and they beat it by £10. Gets delivered next Monday. Costco still beating everyone else so RS should do £544 delivered. £10 more than I paid but I’d have been happy at that especially with their 6 yr warranty

Yes. Had to prove Costco membership. It wasn’t the easiest deal, but got it done. Hopefully it arrives!!
People that managed to get this - any thoughts on the TV/ what made you decide?

£544 delivered here... delivery is 7days, in case that puts anyone off. Non Costco member.
