I have the same opinion as you.

I have only had good experence with Panasonic. Their designs are not the most attractive. But they last longer and kept their standard. Panasonic is a brand I always recommend.

Even if guarantee with Panasonic?

I have the hisense 55m7000 price matched at JL FOR £599. But the Panasonic 58dx700b would be £630 after the 10% back.

The Panasonic 750b is the better tv and you'll get the long guarantee at the moment by registering with Panasonic.

The hisense m7000 is top of their range,ULED i believe.. n its well reviewed

Nothing special anymore in my opinion, been left behind by Samsung and LG, too expensive.

I was going to buy the 50in version of this tv from Very.Phoned Panasonic and was told they would not give the 5 year warranty if purchased from Very.

I've got the Dx802b and it's a fantastic TV coming from a Plasma G20.

Misleading title - there is no 5 years warranty if bought from Very !

I agree, Panasonic still make great TV's, the build quality of a lot of TV's now is so poor, when I do get a 4k this year I'd certainly be looking at something like this.

Check the thread with Hisense h65m7000 from SonicDirect but its for u to contact JL to price match. It got over 1000 heats. Its only £100 more and u get a well reviewed ULED and 65" rather than this 58" panasonic. Panasonic is just not the same as before anymore

I've got the Panasonic 58dx750b and it's a beast for the price. I got it for £850 around October last year and I thought that was a bargain back then.
Superb for 4k Blu-ray and for 4k HDR gaming on PS4 Pro.

Have a 55cx802b bought in the sale for £999 over a year ago and it is a superb TV. Never buy the low end Panasonics though as they were Vestels with a Panasonic badge. Don't know if that is the case with the newer ones

Only the low end ones are. Mid range and top end Panasonic TVs are hard to beat in their price range.

Yep I fell into this trap too. I got mine from Littlewoods and Panasonic wouldn't honour the warranty as they said this retail group isn't accepted in the offer!

Oh really?! Eek that's not good! Will amend title. That's a shame.

yeah I had a little bit of a row with them but they said it was something to do with it being a finance company or something like that. had to pay the littlewoods warranty in the end :-(

I second this, I have this telly too, and coming from a pioneer kuro i too have no complaints. Brilliant TV and got 7 years warranty (5 from Panny, 2 from TPS).

Is this a mid range tv

Backlight issues with HDR
Some set-up complexity
Not a 10-bit panel
Not UHD Premium specified

That's a nope from me.

Is this a mid range tv

Yes it is

looking at this tv but got the 50ax802 from a few years back but hasn't got hdr, any one know if it's worth upgrading to this?

Fancied this telly but everytime I get ready to pull the trigger I read of lag.. backlight bleed.. clouding... not 10 bit... not true HDR... etc !

cant drag myswlf away from my 6 year old plasma.

Indeed! I too now have an 802b and have come from a Kuro. No complaints, in fact, I wouldn't go back. It really is a brilliant TV.
