I stopped listening to opinions many many years ago - the ONLY opinion that matters is yours!

I bought a Samsung from JL last year ..... I went in, looked at all the TV's ... stood for a while in front of each and selected one which I thought the best, I then went away and returned 6 times to validate my first opinion.

I'm a yorkshireman so I waited until it went out of stock on line and then went into store and bought it off the floor - 55 inch smart and amazing picture, I haggled them down to around £300!! AND I got a display SONY Soundbar for an extra £100.

The thing I'm trying to get across is that YOUR eyes are better than any review or opinion on here .... then use your brain to get the very best deal ......

RGBW 10bit 8bit blah blah blah.

Looks like a vestel rebage. Panasonic not what they used to be.

Search 58DX802B on hot deals will bring up a few posts about the model. Seems a good set and having 3d is a bonus if that's your thing.

Panasonic's top LCD model, it's a very good TV for the price.

3D is a wonderful thing.

I'm sure DX902B was their to one from last year

You're right, this is their number 2 in the range, the 902 and 802 were the only tvs panasonic carried over from last years range to this year because they were great sets.

This is a great tv, stand is stupid though

Yeah, that was a better TV but it's now been discontinued in favour of the new 900 model, the EZ952 OLED.

I’ve got this tv and it’s decent but the stand is crap

Haha really because the dx902 was best in class and best tv in its year 🤔

Both 802 and 902 are discontinued by fisher sound, I really think it’s a good price and the fact that JL have them in stock so you don’t have to buy the open box from richersounds for the same price, makes this a good deal.

The stand looks like the worst design I have ever seen on a TV, what were they thinking when they designed it.

No its not and its 8 bit

The smart (computer) side of the Panasonic sets is very reliable and quick I have found. I never had anything but problems with Sony TVs Bravia engine always crashing. I’d happily
Recommend the top end Panasonics

I have this TV, bought it last year for £1200. Great set and the 4k looks amazing. The stand is a bit gimpy so I’ve mounted the TV instead. I’ve also ditched the included sound bar-esque speaker in favour of a proper surround sound system.

Does it upscale normal HD TV into 4k?

I have this. Bought it as a refurbfrom Panasonic’s ebay store for £800 (deal on here with lots of info and links) - probably a return because of the stand but looked brand new. Swapped the stand, as you will need a six foot tv stand/table to fit it on. Sound is great from the sound bar. 3D works great, although you need active 3D glasses (but cheap enough on ebay or Amazon). Has freesat and freeplay, can record to usb but has no series link. SD Recordings can be shared and streamed to other devices on your network, although HD can’t for some reason. Picture is superb, the only issue I have with it is occasionally blocky blacks with poor quality source material, although this can usually be reduced/fixed by changing the picture settings.

No, it isn't the top model. That would be the DX902b which is about double this price and almost double the TV as well.

Every TV does. It's only the quality that varies, not whether they do it or not.

I'm a big Panasonic fan and would bite at that price, is it VESA compatible?

Yes. I bought this stand from Amazon Here

I intend to wall mount it eventually..

None of this model at the moment, but plenty of other 4K ultra for sale direct from Panasonic on ebay. Here

Is that really the tv stand surrounding that screen?! Looks worse than Anne Widdicombes bikini line

That is an ideal big wall to have a motorised drop down projection screen.

Great looking TV set.

or maybe Panasonic make them on behalf of Vestel.
I know years ago with the old Tube TV's Panasonic UK made them for other manufacturers to the manufacturers spec.
This usually involved inferior components.

This isn't a vestel, Panasonic no longer source TV's from them.

Looks like a school blackboard on an industrial stand like that.

At least they came good & added the HDR firmware eventually
