The GX800 brings you some of Panasonic’s best picture technology at an affordable price. With Panasonic’s HCX picture processor, the slim-line design 4K LED TV features HDR Bright Panel Plus to ensure the picture reveals every detail of 4K resolution. Dolby Vision & HDR10+ Dynamic Metadata ensures you get best from UHD Blu-ray discs & 4K video streaming services. All this paired with Dolby Atmos, allows the sound to transport you into the story.

Picture Tuned in Hollywood

Panasonic have collaborated with Hollywood colourists to deliver you the truest movie expeirence, exactly how the director would have intended.

HCX Processor

This HCX (Hollywood Cinema eXperience) Processor was used in Panasonic’s 2018 OLED TVs. It encapsulates the colour, black level & brightness know-how learned from years of making reference-quality OLED & plasma TVs, as well as professional broadcast equipment. The system was tuned by Stefan Sonnenfeld, leading Hollywood colourist, to deliver a picture true to the director’s vision.

HDR10+ Dolby Vision

Panasonic’s new premium TVs support playback of both next-generation “Dynamic Metadata” HDR standards: HDR10+ and Dolby Vision, for scene-by-scene HDR adjustment. They also support conventional HDR10 and Hybrid Log-Gamma (HDR), so you can enjoy the widest variety of HDR content.

Bluetooth Audio Link allows you to effortlessly connect your TV to other devices. You can listen to the TV’s sound via a pair of remote Bluetooth speakers or headphones. Alternatively, you can send sound from your mobile device to the TV’s speakers.

Game and Sport Modes

Sport mode combines vivid hues with a surround effect for viewing real-life football and other sports. And the quick image response of Game mode boosts gaming fun with a more direct playing sensation.

Video Streaming in 4K

The UHD signals are processed by Panasonic’s own 4K High-Precision Chroma Processor to deliver breathtakingly crisp images. 4K strreaming is compatible with Netflix, Prime Video and YouTube.

USB HDD Recording

TV programmes can be recorded on to an external USB hard disk drive by simply pressing the REC button on the remote control (this will require a USB hard drive with a capacity of at least 160GB).

Intuitive Voice Control

Enjoy hands free operation with this TV from an Amazon Alexa or Google Assistant enabled device. When your hands are full or you’re simply in a rush, operations such as turning the power on or off, changing the channel or volume can be carried out effortlessly by your voice.

Viewing angles on this any good? How’s the motion handling for gaming? It’s a lot of TV for the money.
Still £999 at JL & RS. Good price, but I'd have to join Costco?
Edit - I see the 58" is £599 - still £699 @ JL & RS costco.co.uk/Ele…797

I'm tempted as want a TV for gaming too but think I'm going to hold out for an LG 8500/8600/9010 dependant on which (if any) gets reduced in the coming week

Costco - I’ll post it when it’s available assuming that is nobody posts it before me
I got this few days ago, it’s brilliant and the viewing angles are nowhere near as bad as some make out.

edit. Mines the 58 but im pretty sure it’s the same just smaller.

Looks like it £2200 currently.
I’ve just been in Currys looking at this 65GX800B as I was worried about the viewing angle. It’s barely noticeable unless you’re well off-axis or are very fussy! Worth popping in if you’ve got a Currys nearby.

Yea well spotted I had a look online and couldn’t find it.
I agree it’s highly likely to be that one £600 is a great saving but like you it’s out of my price range too..
Finally pulled the trigger and gone for this over a smaller OLED .Price matched with R Sounds many thanks 🏼
anyone know the difference between this and TX-65GX820B - seems only to be at Curry's

“One note before we crack on: Currys is selling the TX-50GX820B instead of the TX-50GX800B. We’ve tested both models and they perform identically, but the GX820 does have a picture-in-picture mode that the GX800 does not, which could be useful if you wanted to, for example, play a console game while also watching the cricket.”
From what hi-fi.com
Still 50hz and edge lit panel though
Currently sat watching 65” ex700 looks amazing !! GX800’s should be a notch up with the better processor 🏼
Bought via price match at Richer Sounds. Their policy is to beat by £10 but they take into account the extra £15 non-members would pay to join. I think that’s a fair way of working and they’ve got my business!
Price back up to £899.89 now... gutted as I had my eye on this one
Vestel ?
BigBen7502001/12/2019 17:39

Vestel ?

No , only the lower models are Vestel . Not the GX800 series
