I was looking at the Flip Mino HD on Amazon (same price) but found that this Panasonic was more flexible with: full HD, use of memory cards, Skype compatibility, torch light and some form of Electrical Image Stabilizer.

You can get this camera for the same price from Play.com, but not with the free memory card.

The free memory card is the Panasonic 4GB Class 10 SDHC Card (up to 22MB/s - Gold Line). Just add it to your basket and the promotion kicks in at the checkout stage. (Memory card worth £14.95 on Amazon)

To claim a free skin, go to mystyle.panasonic.eu/ and enter the code from packaging once the camera has been received.

Key Features:
- Pocket-size dimensions and exceptional mobility with Full-HD Recording (1080p/30fps)
- Easy uploading and sharing with integrated USB terminal with software
- Free Video Call on Skype** When Used as Web Camera
- 8-Megapixel Still Picture Recording
- Still Image Capture
- iFrame Mode Ideal for Mac and PC Users
- Standard Accessories
- Rechargeable Battery Pack: min. 940 mAh / Normal
- AV Cable: Yes
- USB extension cord: Yes
- Included Software: HD Writer PE 1.0 (Built-in type)

One of the common complaints about the camera is the fiddly flaps for usb/card slot.

is that price any good?

If there is a better price for that camera and memory card, I'll need to know so that I can cancel my order! (_;)

Great memory card to bundle with it... very very high quality and speed. Such a shame they didnt make this waterproof as i would of snapped it up to replace the very flawed Playsport i had.

Great camera though and well worth the price.

not a bad price but went for the flip mino 2nd gen alittle more but they also have the underwater camera case on offer for £17.99 which is what i really want it for. heat added

The video quality on the review looks amazing. Even watching the footage on playback on an iPhone 4 is crystal clear and crisp, with excellent definition and no major motion blur on panning - looks like a great piece of kit at a great price.

was looking at camcorder earlier today and didnt notice the promotion ! ordered in grey for extra £5
thanks for post got free card out of it
naz

do you know if it comes with carry case ?

sample video looks good: youtube.com/wat…KdI

Its a shame these small camcorders don't have a 3x optical zoom, which is necessary really otherwise the thing you are filming would be small and you'd have to walk towards it. If they can add a 3-5x optical zoom then the sales of point and shoot camera with 720p would drop alot i'm sure. I'm happy with my Panasonic TZ7 with 12x optical zoom and 720p, got it 2nd hand off ebay for £124.

Doubt the 4gb card worth an extra £5?

Videos are crisp & unlike some of the others it has a really bright LED, downsides are it feels really cheap & fragile & pictures arent very good.

Am unable to edit the 'go to deal' link (as it now takes you to a different seller) - here is the link to original item, with 3-5 weeks delivery.

Mmm, a 'lumix' vado/mino/Zx, should be nice quality, have to see if the price drops any more - Vado's and Kodak's go up & down like yo-yo's

Hats off to that reviewer, thought of every conceivable scene.Like light to dark, bright colours, fast moving images, panning etc etc. Looks like a good bit of kit, better than my last 4 playsports.

PS muddy the Panny class 10 sdhc are the best out there in its class. VERY fast and very reliable. The only card i can use class 4 in my SD60 HD Panny camera is Panasonics own... so this being class 10 should fly ;-)

At £109 now on amazon

If you're happy to wait 3-5 weeks, click on the more buying choices on the right, otherwise the grey version is £5 more.

This or the Creative Vado HD 8GB 2nd Gen @ £54.99 ??? This seems to have far superior video quality...

This type of cameras are generally not very good for indoor or dim light shoot.
Anybody know the results indoor?

sd card is not free anymore - even at check out stage ;-(

It is - it doesn't expire until 31/12/10.

You have to purchase the camera direct from amazon, not a marketplace seller.

The grey version is currently £80.99 and you can get the free SD card: amazon.co.uk/Pan…0_2

You can take still pics - 8MP.

are you sure because when i was reading the description on amazon it said, it takes from film

High Picture Quality with Full-HD (1,920 x 1,080/30p) recording and still image from movie capture

That means that you can capture a still image from a recorded video. You can take still pictures separately (page 22 of the manual). As it is 8MP, the resolution is higher at 3264x2448 (page 66).
