good phones

Set ordered thanks

Just reserved last set at barrow in furness, then just thought won't be able to pick them up so if anyone wants the number drop me a pm

These are the ones I have but just the 3, they are simple and basic phones but works very well .

£60 would be a steal for these. Once youve experience Panasonic cordless phones, you'll wonder why you ever got tempted by Binatone or any of the other brands!

Best phone brand by a mile

Tesco's had the 3 set, same model, for more than this in their recent deal, just given to aging relatives - very nice, easy to use and comes with Panasonic batteries, rather than cheapo ones that some phones come with.

A great bargain!! Out of Stock,

Shame it's £12 dearer though!

I would've jumped at these if they had answer phone too...

I usually like Panasonic gear but my last DECT phones were rubbish. Two failed units out of four. I need to replace them but I think I'll avoid Panasonic for my next phones. These look very basic too and no answer machine either.

Same price in Homebase and sometimes they have discount weekends.

Panasonic make great value products but just take a look at a Siemens Gigaset. Some of the models are stunning and some are ugly, depends on the price.
I was looking to buy KXTG8524 when I was given a demonstration of the Gigaset SL400. The salesman did a great job and showed me the light but still didnt get the sale as im too tight to buy instore and used HUK to find a deal on the siemens thanks to a comet voucher code.
Still heat from me if though.

Are these really DECT phones? Where is this stated in the description?
50m and 100m is a poor range.
Dect/GAP phones often have a 300m range.

Common Sense

Depending on DECT standard, DEC's maximum is Interference-free wireless operation to around 100 metres. I think these phones are DECT, but there's limited info on the Argos site.

Great Deal. Reserved one at Swindon.

My 12 year old BT Diverse (Siemens DECT) phones have a 300m range. The standard 12 years ago, which allowed free intercom between houses (before mobiles were widely used and had free calls). Even in those days the poorer phones had a range of 200-250m.
100m seems a very poor range. Also, do these use recharegable AA batteries or some unusual sized batteries?

Good value but they are horrid looking, like some old mobile brick from years ago.

Got the last one from Stevenage.
Now the mrs has 4 to drop and break!

Found stock in Reading and Eastbourne... and 1571 answerphone with caller ID is now free with BT

Who needs an answerphone anymore?

Agreed. Quite apt for a company called Panasonic.

from reading the reviews these appear not to have a handsfree facility which would drive me mad while waiting for call centres to pick up!
