I would like to know your honest (but kind) thoughts on buying the above item or any 'manufacturer refurbished' products. The pro's and con's I suppose. This item is £269 in Curry's and both come with 12 months warranty. At present I don't have a smart TV and dont have the funds to invest in one yet. I was hoping at £189 this would be a reasonable bet to go 'smart' without the full cost of a new TV. The features seem good. This is also the official Panasonic outlet and their feedback is positive. My other aim is to reduce/cancel an ever increasing sky TV subscription.

Adding few more £ for a new one give you more peace of mind, satisfaction and a pride of having brand new technology that's my opinion

I have the PWT420 and have to say I love it. But the SMART features on it are rubbish. Mine is connected to a Samsung smart tv which is amazing in comparison
One thing you can do is download recordings made on the Panasonic to hard drive on your computer to take and play elsewhere.
I also have a cheap Samsung bluray player in another room which I can stream recordings from the Panasonic
Hope that helps

Had problems with new products, have never had a problem with manufacturer refurbished products. My split is roughly 50/50,
I have never had a Panasonic device (2 Blue Ray player, 1 camera, 3 TVs) ever fail and all are 2 years plus, the TVs, 4 years+.

If it makes financial sense, go for it.

Does this one have ads in the EPG?

I have several panasonic devices and all been great.....i dont need it but otherwise would be tempted by this.

I havent seen the most recent Pannasonic SMART - but compared to LG and Samsung I think they are some way behind.....I went for Panny TVs as they were better picture but I dont use the SMART features on it and it does seem pretty clunky.

If all you want is SMART - maybe look at the Roku 3 deal at Tesco....people seem t olove those
