Great batteries!

Brought these for my Xbox controllers years ago and they last a long time. Eneloop brand must have passed from Sanyo to Pana

How are these against the lidl ones (much cheaper)

Depends which ones you are referring to. If the Lidl's ones are standard rechargeable batteries then these are better if you like to have batteries charged for months at a time and don't want them to discharge during that time. If you are charging them immediately before using then these won't be much better although they will have lower failure rates.

I'm assuming he means the AA version of these batteries. At least thats what I have in my xbox controller

These are the original pre-charged, low self-discharge batteries and are reliable and the same size as other AA/AAA. The LIDL Tronic equivalents are good too, but are slightly larger so won't fit in some torches, etc.

LIDL sell pre-charged, low self-discharge batteries too - so no great difference on that front.

My experience of lidl equivalents is that they fail more quickly. I haven't had a single eneloop fail but have had loads of lidl fail on me.

This I did not know. Might have to consider trying some for devices I don't want to waste a proper eneloop in.

Sure but using that warranty is inconvenient. Single batteries out of multi packs fail over time. You have to go to store to replace them.l but they won't be on sale when you do. If eneloop are a reasonable premium then I'd say it was worth it. You'll leave lidl and put the refund straight toward a more reliable brand.
Wonder what the EBL batteries are like, £15.99 with Prime for 16 , 1100Mah seems high for low discharge type... amazon.co.uk/dp/…c=1

used LILD ones, Eneloop, Vapextech. AA and AAA. mostly for bike lights, but also for toys/remotes/etc
after one year Tronics have considerably lower capacity, stopped using them
Vapextech holds ok, but Eneloop is the best - feels like new after 1-2 years..
