New stock of this excellent wet and dry shaver, not as cheap as the previous deal but at £34.50 and free delivery it's a bargain for what is a very good and we'll made shaver. Beats the pants off the Braun series 3 340s which I used to have!

I've got the Panasonic ES-RF31.

Had it for nearly 2 years, absolutely fantastic. If this model is even half as good as mine then you'll have a brilliant deal.

I got the Panasonic shaver a few days ago on the other deal from SSE and I must say I'm impressed.

I'm used to Gillette fusion wet shave but blades so expensive !! Thinking of getting an electric razor

You can get a basic safety razor for £10 and then the blades are (depending on how many you buy) about 10p each.

Its more than half as good, its better........The ST25 has a faster linear motor than the RF31.

Ordered - Many thanks OP and robbino

I wet shave. Does this work on growth of about 5-8mm ?
As I tend
To shave once a week and half. ?

No, you really need to use foil shavers every day...... Rotary shavers are better for longer whiskers.
But neither are as good as a wet shave with a blade.

Most likely the foil and cutter cost more to replace than the actual shaver... Crazy!

I have a Panasonic, without looking it up I forget the exact model, it was bought in a previous offer a few months back and like this one it is the 13,000rpm speed too and is definitely a good bit better than the 3 series Braun I still have.

I have a reasonably heavy beard. Mine cuts FAR better when used after about 2 to 3 days, which fortunately I am usually able to do. If left longer then it's best to trim off first to short stubble with a beard trimmer, and it then cuts as well as it ever does..

Have only ever used it once as a wet shaver, it works, maybe a fraction better than dry, just it isn't worth the bother of cleaning up, drying out and lubricating so haven't repeated. If I want all that bother, I will wet shave.

Can anyone give me advice as to which shaver would be best for 16 year old who doesn't have much facial hair (still fluff) I already bought this one today, hotukdeals.com/dea…704. But wondering if I'd be better with the Panasonic?

I agree, the price is ridiculous for a good disposable razor. Just purchased one of the £39 deal ones. Hopefully my hubby will convert. He may just use it between the Mach shaves. Either way can't go wrong at the price.

Defo use that code as it worked for me, albeit when I ordered one before Christmas.

In terms of the quality of shave I found it to shave closer than a new foil on my old Braun Series 3 340s.

Battery seems to last a week (*just*) having an average shave of 7 minutes a day (yes I am that obsessive!).

The only downside, if I'm being really pickey, I is that it must be charged in the charging cradle as that has contact points for the charge as opposed to simply plugging in the charger cable into the shaver itself like the Braun - which was perfectly acceptable and didn't cause any sort of problems, meaning that the shaver and its cradle are required if you're travelling.

Original Poster

For those more inclined to wet shave using a double edged razor - I did look into it (at length, yes my obsessive nature again!) and ideally would have rather a cheaper shave via double edged blades *but* usually a morning shave is a chore rather than an experience which requires time/effort that a good wet shave done properly with the right kit demands (not to mention the risk of cuts!). Respect to those who wet shave using a cutthroat razor or double edged blades though!

GIVEME5 discount still valid, brings the price down to £32.78

Thanks OP, ordered one

That's a cheaper model (just 23 quid on Amazon), with a much slower speed motor (7,600rpm)

Just ordered

Have been looking to buy an electric razor for a wee while

This seems a great price and good reviews too. Foil razors give better shaves than rotary, just so long as you shave every day.

Many thanks O P .. have some heat from me !

I got an RF41 for less than £25 quid last year and have been very pleased but it is not good for longer growth and its trimmer is pants. Have to fetch the old Braun out if I let it grow too much. In every day use its great though.

£4,50 more from Southern Electric via Amazon.

If that's the thicker handled version then this one will be somewhat different.

The motor on this seems to be slightly slower and the battery life is shorter as I'd guess the battery pack is smaller. That said this works just as effectively though not quite as quickly. Neat charging stand etc.

Actually, the motor is a faster 13,000 on the ST25...... The RF31 has a slower 10,000 motor.

I use this ST25...... its a lot better than the Braun 3 series i also have.
But i still often wet shave with a blade.... as no electric shaver can better it for me.

So how does this compare with the £39 Braun 35cc (with Cleaning Station):
hotukdeals.com/dea…803

Not bothered about the cleaning station just want to know which is better for closer shave and long term dependability?

Are you able to return shavers once opened?

I would stick with the Braun deal..2 year warranty versus 1 here, better retailer for any issues. They are both good deals though.I had a pansonic a few years ago and was not impressed with build quality myself.Take your pick.

Some (like me) will tell you this Panasonic is better...... some will tell you the Braun is better.
Shaving is subjective..... you simply wont know which is best for you without trying both.
Dont know about returns.

I have this shaver and a top of the range Pani. Both with Linear motors and now I'd never go back to Braun. They shave well and so far have proven more reliable than all the Brauns I've had (about 10 over the years).

The linear motor is worth having to avoid that slow down as the battery gets flatter. The only problem with the ST25 is the stupid charging stand, you can't just plug the charge cable into the shaver body, but at this price, its a bargain.

If the general feeling from those that have had experience of the Panasonic ST-25 as well as the Braun 350cc is that the Panasonic is better, how can one explain the Panasonic getting to 143 degrees on HUKD in just over 2 days while the Braun got to 1,500+ over a similar period??

FYI chaps I bought this last year, good razor. For those concerned about razor burn I can say initially there was a little burn but worth noting that after a week or two when the blades dulled down just a bit the razor burn was no more. Thought this may be useful to know if you had any concerns on the matter.
Pleased with mine. Pull the trigger imo.

Great electric shaver at an unbelievable price.

That's dead easy, voting is far, far from a science on this site, it bears no relation whatsoever to whether something is good bad or indifferent!
