wow nice price

Good price but isnt it a bit bulky for a camcorder these days?
Good mobiles and cameras do great vids!

It's the price they're moaning about. £400+. If you can get for this. I'm gonna try tomorrow.

Agree with Wildswan - PC Pro review was for a £470 camera ... this is under a £100 so a good buy IF you can get one ...

not one in the country..so don't waste your time.

Lol, doubt anyones going to get this so not much point of spec

Good find If you can get one

After working for PC World previously for a few years I can give a little advice on grabbing bargains.

Ring to find out exactly which stores have the item in stock, using preferably the sku code. PC World's main helpline, not the store, there is no direct line to the store other than business which they won't help you or even answer so don't waste your time. Forget collect in store, Staff members are usually too busy to collect items from the shelf so if someone else picks it up they can just pay for it at the till and your out of luck. If the store has less than three in stock you won't even have this option so it'll show as an "X" on the website and because the terms state that it isn't a guarantee that it'll be waiting for you any bargain that came as a collect at store was sometimes hidden for staff, at least in my store.

Price changes are done by the out of hours team not usually the people in purple shirts so you'd be amazed how many bargains go complety unnoticed, also given the amount of items in store and different hours people come into work chances are they'll never know.

Basically if you know of a cheap item, ring find out what stores have it, ignore the (Pristine/Non Pristine) because when stock is low it won't be accurate, the last pristine will most likely be a display item if its electrical. Go in the store, try and find it on the shelf, you can take any item to the till if you want a price check or sku code and hopefully you'll find it otherwise ask staff to look for your item in the back or cage and keep as close watch as you can so they don't BS you saying they don't have it when they do. The date the ticket was printed is shown near the sku, if an item looks old and the ticket hasn't been changed in a while it may be cheaper when scanned at the till.

The only way really to chance it but PC World is stupid, they try and sell things at high prices find it doesn't sell then clear it. I've bought motherboards for £2.97, memory for 97p and a quad core processor for £4.97. Thought I'd share if that helps anyone in any way. If you want to have some fun use the word "value" (as its from their selling model) in most of what you say and just watch the look on their faces X)

To be fair to my local(ish) PCWorld - Bournemouth - they did try fairly hard to find the Sony media streamer I Wanted last week on the 49.97 deal, indeed they took my phone number and phoned me back the next day when they tracked it down - unfortunately no remote :-/.

Not sure if anyone wants to find you oO

I have this model and paid £389 for it, ok it was 18 months ago ish, its a superb bit of kit, the pictures it takes are great to ( not as good as a proper DSLR of course ). Its small, very light, lots features, great zoom and real easy to use and playback. Cannot beleive it is being offered at this price, its probably worth me buying another to use as parts at this price haha

Good luck on getting one, hope people post back on here to say they found one at the bargain price.

None in Glos or Chelt

Have phoned them and they say there's no stock anywhere. Anyone had any luck?

I've just phoned the Blackpool store. There are about half a dozen available in the North West. They are end of line, ex-display models. The staff at Blackpool are happy to arrange an order if I pop in and reserve one.

Don't think I'll bother. I'll stick to the HD video feature on my TZ10 for what I need.

whats the number please

Thank you for the information titan. I've just called the main Customer Service number (0844 561 0000). Spoke to a nice lad. Gave him the SKU Code (689752), supplied by wanderer above. The lad said he'd had a call earlier about this model. Without even asking for my local area he said that the system was showing NO stock in ANY stores nationally and with no delivery information so there is no information as to when/if they may get stock in to any stores. I'm guessing no one is gonna get this.

EDIT: If someone wants to try their local store most of the numbers can be found by entering the 0844 5610000 number into the search here: saynoto0870.com/sea…php You should see a whole page of numbers come up. Personally I haven't tried my local store as I'm stuck in today waiting for a delivery but good luck to anyone trying.

Hope that helps.

None in N.Ireland either, all said same thing when I rang directly

Does anyone else feel like the more you can't get hold of one, the more you feel you must need one?
