This phone has been reduced from £79.95 to £39.97. Looks like this model is exclusive to Tesco but I've compare it to the KX-TG8222EB Twin Model at £89.95 and it looks like the only difference between them is that the offer one hasn't got an answerphone? I've looked at the reviews on the answerphone model and they are mixed - anyone got one of these and know if they're any good and worth £39.97?? Not bothered about an answerphone myself and certainly not worth the extra £50!!!

PS. Don't forget Quidco!!!

Here are the specs:

This is a hot deal and seems very similar to the other model the poster mentioned.

Just to confirm, I picked mine up from reserve & collect yesterday - it is the same except for the answerphone (both models were listed in the instruction booklet). Superb phone for a great price and I'm very pleased

No headset jack ? :-(

anyone knows what happens if I were to link an old panasonic dect phone with answer phone to this? Will the answer phone feature work or will it be switched off?

They do have a headset jack as I bought these from my local tesco you can save even more money if you go through quidco then go and pick them up at your local store so don't have to pay postage.

The phones are great only had them a while but sound quality is good :O) voted hot

Anyone know if these are GAP compatible ? i.e. can be added to existing DECT phones ?

Cheers:)

Yes it'll work but only one of your new phones will - the 'slave' can be registered to your old base unit but you can't register your new base unit to the old one.

Yes - but why couldn't you just look at the Panasonic site - I used to be apathetic but these days I can't be bothered!!!;-)

That does make sense. Thanks for that! I think panasonic makes the best dect phones of the lot. Defo better than BT or binatone rubbish. Pity these don't have an answer phone though.

great price!

Anyone know if I can use these like an intercom? We have our attic converted so it would be handy to be able to speak to whoever is up there without screaming up the stairs!

Thanks,
worto.

Now shown as temporarily out of stock. From experience, Tesco won't have any more stock and the listing will be removed from the site in a couple of days.

From the Panny web site:

"Intercom calls can be made between handsets in the same radio cell."

I should add I've not tried this but that's what the manual says.

These are back in stock at Tesco Direct at the moment - worth resetting from 'expired'?
cheers
