This was posted yesterday but interesting to see the Panasonic promo on top, thanks for sharing this 🏻
If only this was full frame I would be all over it! I’m holding out for a Sony a7iii or canon eos r! It would be my first camera so maybe overkill but this none full frame conversion is to hard to work out I wanna buy a lens that will give me that focal not have to use a conversion
Danc711 I own both the A7iii (for video) and the G9 (for stills) and I can tell you now it's all about the quality of the glass you are using with the camera. My lenses in some cases cost more than the body itself. But then I also shoot professionally.

It’s not rocket science. To get the FF equivalent on an M43 lens you times by 2. You can do it, I believe in you!

Yea I know the glass makes the difference I would be upgrading a kit lens almost instantly! How do you make a living professionally like serious question o really wanna do it myself but wouldn’t know where to start I don’t even own a camera yet which I know is the starting point

I would love a Sony a7iii

What is your go to lens
Great camera. Work for a camera hire dept (video)and we send a fair chunk of Panasonic cameras out (from the Gh5 up to the Varicam), and if the pros are using it....

It's harder to make a living as a photographer as people have lower standards and know someone who can take adequate photos of weddings etc for free.

Theres plenty of work though, I doubt it's harder. Maybe harder to become more recognised I guess.

There's less work and therefore more people competing for the work and therefore a buyer's market so prices drop, yes? Basic economics.

You can't do much better than the A7III at the moment and in the mirror-less world it has easily the best selection of native lenses from both Sony and third party makers. For a trip to Iceland a wide angle zoom would be great to do justice to the landscape, something like the FE 16-35mm f/4 ZA OSS or the new Tamron 17-28mm f/2.8 Di III RXD. Expensive yes but camera gear holds it's value well and is more fun than money sitting in the bank.

Hoping for a deal on one over Black Friday as they seem to be almost retail on eBay and NO lenses included with any really!

I wouldn’t mind a a7iii cheap from somewhere but dunno where I would look

Getting a camera couple of weeks before your trip, even if you buy the latest and greatest model available, I guarantee you will come back with c**p photos and video...Im doing travel photography in my free time for the last 3-4 years, every time coming back just to realise that I fail to take a whole lot of good shots...buy any decent camera tomorrow morning and practice as much as you can the little time left before your trip...unless you're extremely talented, it's a slow process...

guy seems to be thinking he'll be a pro in 2 secs though
doesn't have a camera (or apparently a shred of knowledge) and already would be swapping the lenses out
