Panasonic's DC-GX9 packs professional-style shooting into a beautifully compact body. A 20.3MP sensor, 4K UHD Video and 4K Photo feature combine with dual image stabilisation for superbly detailed split-second shots of gorgeous clarity and colour. Both viewfinder and touch screen are tiltable for dynamic shooting options, and a range of filters add creative flair. Then share your work with ease with built-in Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. This light and portable mirrorless camera packs in the tech so you have the power of brilliant photography in your bag or pocket.

20.3 Megapixels of Stunning Detail
A Live MOS sensor with no low pass filter packs the image frame with 20.3 megapixels of scintillating detail. It's ideal for capturing every aspect of your subject with exceptional precision and artistry.

4K Movies, 4K Photo
With four times the number of pixels as Full HD, your 4K movies will be smooth, sharp and dazzlingly detailed. The GX9 records footage in 4K resolution at up to 30p frame rate. And with 4K Photo you can select an individual frame from a 30 frame-per-second video sequence, and save it as a single high resolution image. It’s ideal for capturing unmissable fast-moving action and selecting the perfect shot later. Simply shoot, select and save.

Post Focus & Focus Stacking
The Post Focus feature lets you review an image and select the area you’d like to be pin sharp simply by touching it, even after you’ve taken the photo. And with Focus Stacking you can combine multiple focal planes within the same image for perfectly sharp clarity across the whole frame, or creative experimentation.

Shoot from Any Angle
Both the rear touch screen and the electronic viewfinder are tiltable, giving you full scope to shoot from tricky angles and with more dynamic perspectives.

Stable Shots
With 5-axis dual image stabilisation you'll get sharp, crisp imagery, even when shooting on the go, with a long tele-lens, or without a tripod.

Creative Filters
A host of easy-to-use creative features let you add an extra level of style and panache to your shots. Classic effects like Sepia and Retro are joined by L.Monochrome and Grain Effect filters to take your photography to the next level of class.

Wireless Wonder
With built-in Wi-Fi & Bluetooth, this camera can connect to your smart phone or tablet wirelessly, letting you share your shots in an instant. Perfect for sending to friends or colleagues with ease, or uploading to online platforms.

Compact Elegance
The GX9 gives you a professional level of photography in a perfectly portable compact design. And with a manual exposure dial and focus lever, operation is simple and intuitive putting you in direct connection with your creativity.

Do some research before and be sure to check on the specific condition of the lenses before you bid, but I buy most of my glass used from ebay. You can also get grey import stuff on there too. It's not for everyone, but it's worked for me.

As for which lenses, look on the forum on dpreview - there are countless threads - a much better place to get info than here.

Good lenses for sure, but with this camera if you pair with (certain) Panasonic lenses you get dual image stabilisation, ie combining both camera and lens.

With these Olympus lenses you have the benefit of the camera's in-body image stabilisation only.

Something you may want to factor in to your decision.

There are issues around uv filtering as well. Cross brand compatibility is a bit of a confidence trick.
I took a few thousand pics with one of these and the super cheap oly 40-150 recently and was very impressed, certainly no regrets not using more expensive or heavier gear.

i.e it depends what pictures your taking. There seems to be an assumption people only take pictures of mountains or walls. (admittedly I have a few mountain pictures in that thousands. And even a couple of walls LOL)

great deal, heat added.
Really great little camera this, especially as a walk around and street camera. It's got a very good sensor and due to it's size people are not as wary of it as when you pull out your full frame DSLR! The 4k video is good as well, although I'm a stills person so don't really use that side of it. At this price it will be a really good buy imo.
Ordered and heat OP.

I've been a micro 4/3's user since the original GF1 many years ago with the wonderful 20mmm f1. 7 and currently using a G7, and I've got quite a collection of lenses including some weird-oh cine stuff so looking forward to going back to the small body/small lens combo of this GX9

Oh dear. Nice price. Ordered.
I didn't get on with the first copy of this I had (it kept freezing) but that was quite a while ago, and hopefully a one off.
Might want to be wary of updating the firmware, maybe - I seem to remember some issues with stabilisation after an update.
Any deals on zoom lenses?

The Panasonic 12-32mm and Olympus 40-150mm are both pretty good, and fairly small. I think you can often get them for under £100 each second hand.

Yeah, I have the 12-32 that came with my GX80 and it's great. I actually got a second one with my GX800 - I need to sell that one - this jogged my memory!
gone
Thanks for the deal - I’ve ordered but still not received - anyone else in a similar position?

Same here. 4 times now it's said it's due on a day, and then been "unexpectedly delayed". I wouldn't mind so much if it was just a matter of waiting, but getting given a day for it then not to turn up is a bit irritating.
Plus side is the price has gone up now, so it still feels like a deal!

I’ve had delivery pushed back again!
So, I got mine 2 weeks back, has anyone else received their order or is everyone still waiting?

Still waiting - I tried speaking to customer service and they said I would only get given a date for delivery if it was definitely coming. But it's given be a date four times now and not come... It now says due Monday, so fifth time lucky, maybe?
This is ridiculous Was expected by 15 September
We're sorry your package is late
We’ll email you as soon as we have a new delivery date, and we’re making every effort to ship your order as soon as possible.

Was due for delivery on the 27th, 1st, 6th, 11th and now today. Each time I get the unexpectedly delayed message...
Might have another word with CS tomorrow
Sent an email to customer service, and they've given me a £20 refund, so that's something, at least.
Apparently it's now due in Saturday, though I expect it to not turn up again...

Mines also been changed to Saturday!

Have you been charged for the item yet? I was charged over two weeks ago and still not received!

Yikes. Yep. Charged just after the order.
It's been updated again to say it's due by 8pm tomorrow. Doubt it, somehow
Was due today, but again isn't coming. I spoke to them on chat, and got another £5... I may end up giving up on this, anyway, as it's taking so long.
Delayed yet again - now saying due on the 1st.
Has anyone else who was waiting got theirs?

Sorry for not replying! Only just seen your message!
I got a deal on ebay that worked out a bit less, but with a charger, 4 spare batteries and a better eye cup, so I cancelled the amazon order. Ended up with £30 in vouchers for the wait, though, so not all bad!
