Please be aware… the supplied grip isn’t actually compatible with the S5 as it uses a different connection .!!

In my grip box there was an adaptor included

Bargain, I love my S5. Lots of cheap Panasonic 20-60 and 50mm lenses on ebay if you need a lens to get started.

The kit lenses are great. I went M 4/3 but the S5 has great reviews.

This or the Sony A7C? Amazon are selling it for £1290 and if curry’s price match that it’s £1090 after cashback.
Or even a Sony ZV-E10 for £500 at the moment at Amazon?

ZV-E10 is horrible imo. Nothing going for it - better to use a smartphone. The other 2 are great. I have an S5 which I like but Sony you do get better lens options and autofocus.

I bought the S5 in over the summer and dont regret it . The autofocus isnt the problem that its made out to be (though not as good as Sony) . I got it with the kit lens and have since bought the Sigma Art 50mm 1.4 and the 24.70 2.8 and am delighted with the quality and performance. I also have the Canon>Panasonic adaptor so can use much of my old old Canon glass (I made the jump from Canon DSLRs having dabbled with Sony back in the days of the Nex 5N). If you are planning on shooting video then the Panasonic is great highly regarded.

Ultimately read the reviews, go with what suits your use case and enjoy the camera - almost any new camera will give decent results.

I got the lumix GH5 M2 with the leica lens and spare battery for about £1200 during the summer. Playing around with video at the moment (edited)

Worth noting this appears to not have the extra battery which the black Friday grip deal did also include. But since you can charge in-camera and power from a standard USB I find I never change the battery!

You can get this on Wex winter deals for £1400 after £400 off voucher that comes with the kit lens, 50mm lens, shooting grip and a spare battery.
