Oh you mean this beauty cdiscount.co.uk/Pho…tml

Yeah i bet the lens is quality.

No it was the black one I meant, but still it's £50 cheeper than yours and as far as I see the only telling difference apart from the name is yours has a 4x zoom and the other one has a 5x.

I stand by my post.

Jeez, don't take offence, you ain't the one selling it!

im not taking offence, you get what you pay for. And for £79 you will never get the quality of Leica/vario lens. And for that reason, im out!

Typical example how marketing works. Megapixel is the key word for many buyer and yet it doesn't really say anything about photo quality. You could get better photos with a 4 megapixel quality camera. GE is selling generic rebadged low budget cameras, which give reasonable quality for 6x4 photos. If you want to enlarge to 10x8 or larger, you need a better quality camera.

The Panasonic's price is a good offer, but since Panasonic doesn't allow the use of third party batteries any longer, this make is off my shopping list.

Why buy diamonds when cubic zirconia are so damned cheap eh?

ive got one of these cameras, excellent piece of kit and very compact, I paid less than £100 six months ago. I must have got a serious bargain.
