Ultra zoom, ultra-wide angle

30x optical zoom lets you shoot extreme close-ups without a heavy DSLR. Capture a range of subjects and scenes in their most natural beauty without disturbing them.

High resolution sensor

The Panasonic DMC-TZ60EB-S has a highly sensitive 18.1-megapixel MOS image sensor for outstanding detail and lifelike colour. Capture still images and videos in exceptional form.

Optical image stabilisation helps you to shoot shake-free images and videos. This helps counteract five types of camera movement including vertical rotation and horizontal rotation, so no matter how you're framing your shot, you're covered.

Creative control

You'll discover a range of exposure modes on the DMC-TZ60EB-S - activate Auto Exposure for spur-of-the-moment shots, or explore Manual Mode hone your skills as you choose the perfect shutter speed and aperture. The cameraoffers creative editing filters like Soft Focus or Retro so you can add personal flair to your images.

Easy-use dial

Manual control is effortless thanks to a conveniently-placed dial that gives you fast access to frequently used settings like zoom, aperture, focus and shutter speed. The electronic view finder is ideal for precise framing, even when you're shooting in bright light.

Shoot and share

With integrated WiFi and NFC (Near Field Communication) you can share photos in an instant. Use NFC to send images to a compatible smartphone or tablet with one touch, or post your latest snaps directly onto Facebook using WiFi. none anywhere in the uk

I found stock on my first search.
Good find OP. However when i try to reserve I am getting an error message 'technical error'.

it was working ok a while ago. Anyone else had any luck
I went to the pcworld site, that seems to be working ok, I think I found the only one in South Wales first try :-)

yeah same. Not just on this camera mind u
Looks a bargain - I've reserved one for store pickup and payment while I do some research.
The site is ****** for me and keeps on saying Technical Error!
Hopefully their 'experts' will sort that within 14 days.
Limitation on this is the low resolution of the viewfinder compared to later TZ-70 (which is why I went for one of those a couple of years back). The TZ-70 also has lower MP (!) but supposedly that gives an improvement in picture quality.

But the price for this might be a winner

Thanks. The nearest they have is in Hereford which is too far for me.

better to get the bundle with the 16GB Sandisk Ultra Sd card for £119.03 extra

They're going very very fast, if you have one near you then you have to reserve it quick. When I checked for stock an hour ago there were 3 stores near me that had them, I checked again 20 mins ago and only 1 place had them in stock, I reserved one and now none are in stock.
there is stock on the isle of man, good price tz70 has way better viewfinder though
Did reserve one, but just had a call to say they don't have it in stock
Need to replace mine current one - this it oos in any local PCWorld or Currys to me - can anyone find a similar deal? Or recommend a similar sub £250 camera?
Heat for the deal - good heads up even if somewhat limited availability...

Does anyone know how nippy this is in real-time use (assuming I've reserved one, that is, haha)?

I have a Samsung that is sooooo sloooow to take a snap, especially one after the other, which makes it very frustrating to use.

Edit: I can answer my own question, from here
Photo performance used to be a particularly strong area for Panasonic but its advantage seems to be slipping. We measured 1.8 seconds to switch on and shoot, and 0.9 seconds between subsequent shots – both a little slower than the TZ40.
Continuous shooting remains at 10fps, and lasted for six shots. It was ready to go again five seconds later.
There's also an option to shoot at 5fps with continuous autofocus, although this became slower and erratic after seven shots. These are all respectable results, but not as impressive as on previous TZ models.

Just picked one up from the Guiseley store in Leeds plus 3 years insurance. All in for £138.00. Time to return the Amazon one
Ordered one. after reading about getting cancelled went to order from another store - none around now!

Lets hope they honour it!
I have Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ2000 and FZ1000 that I use all of the time, so I know how good they are. This would be for my daughters Christmas if I get it?
Not sure whether this is up to scratch in terms of replacing my D5200.

I use the Nikon almost exclusively in manual mode and use most of the features, but it's just the size that's becoming more and more of a burden.

I have one reserved but torn over whether to go and get it - I still think this is a great deal, just not sure whether it will suit my needs.
None within 100 miles of Bolton and not available for home delivery. Good spot though OP.

Blessing in disguise really, I'm starting lose the buzz of buying things I don't need.
Ok, on checking this isn't suitable for the person I'd reserved one for, so does anyone in South Wales/Bristol want a reservation number for one in Newport (the one by Tredegar park)

This cannot be considered a replacement for a DSLR, you get what you pay for.

Its more convenient though, easier to slip into your pocket
I have reservations for East Kilbride and Uddingston if anyone wants 'em.

My fault as I didn't know how Currys/PC World reservations work - and I didn't realise there was one more easy for me to travel to further afield!

I was told that if you haven't been contacted by your store within an hour or so of reservation, then the store will have the item in stock - let's hope so!

Yea I appreciate that, but convenience is what I want more of, lol.

I guess the only way to see is to try one out and see.

I might go for it anyway - worst case scenario I could easily sell it for more than this on eBay.
am tempted by one of these but only if i can get fairly comparable shots to dslr (csc etc) at the long end

obviously at the same equivalent focal length its going to be worse but once it goes further than the 'proper' camera it should gain
anyone seen a decent comparison? i cant find any (even if its just equivalent type like hx80/90 sx720 etc)
I just had to check PC World Middlebrook Bolton and bought the ex display one.

I just can't resist anymore.
Cracking deal! I was on the website in a flash, knew it was long shot, too much exposure on here and it is out of stock.

Sorry....although genuinely did try to reserve one!
Mine was waiting in the Livingston branch.

Just finished charging the wee battery, too around 2 hours. Set it up but never took any photos as its a pressie for my daughter for X-Mas.

Does 1080p50Hz in AVCHD for video which for £120 is pretty impressive.

Looking good so far!

Running a search on Flickr is generally a good way to see what normal people can do with a certain camera.

There are quite often groups for a certain camera model too. Check it out
