Cold as...
They sell the US version of the camera, and their price has gone up this week too...
You will have no warranty with Panasonic, just the company. If they went bust, so would your warranty.

Some people on this forum do like the US version of this camera (ZS3) better than the UK version (TZ7) as the US version has unlimited video recording whereas UK version is limited to 15mins.

So may be a hot deal for someone out there

Is that 15 mins at a time or 15 mins per card ?

It will be at a time.

kinda the same thing........you cannot record more than 15min at a time, stop/start recording again (bigger the card the more you can record of 15min intervals). I specifically bought the US version for that reason.

good camera, but this is average price - not a deal, imo

If you really wanna buy a version of the camera with no UK warranty - you may as well get a grey import from camerabox at £215 - personally, I wouldn't.

Funny how this is actually hotter than the deal I posted a while back where the camera was UK warranty and was about £15 cheaper after quidco.

it's not the same thing if a card holds 2 hours and you can only record 15 mins then that' not the same as just pressing record again after 15 mins is recorded.

so I can just press record again after 15 mins... that's not too bad then

Bear in mind that 15min on high quality on this camera is at least 1.5gb - it is a camera afterall.

it' wouldn't work for me, (once the price of cards drop a little more) I plan on recording live gigs . the manual advises you to use a minimum class 6 to record in HD

it gets mentioned a lot here with this camera, but it hasn't been posted on this thread yet: the latest camera firmware (1.2) tries to stop you from using non-Panasonic replacement batteries (their branded ones are at a silly price). I just bought the DMW-BCG10 that has been 'chipped' to work with the latest firmware update - and it does. I got it off feebay for £15 delivered from a UK seller. the battery capacity says 1250mAh (so it claims) - the originals batteries are 895mAh

Quite a lot of places (play.com for example) sell compatibles that work with 1.2.
