4K video recording

The Panasonic Lumix DMC-TZ80EB-K Superzoom Digital Camera is a great travelling camera with a 30 x optical zoom, Electronic Viewfinder, and 4k video recording so you capture your memories wherever you go. Building on the success of the Lumix TZ70, the TZ80 gives you the ability to capture 4k videos (30 fps) to preserve your memories in the best resolution possible.

As well as 4k recording you can also choose to record in Full HD 1920 x 1080p (50 fps) to improve storage and battery life. High resolution isn't restricted to your camera either. Connect to computers or large screen TVs and play back video in smooth high resolution.

Post Focus

Shoot more creatively with Panasonic's Post Focus setting that lets you adjust the focus-points of your compositions after you've taken the picture, without expensive editing software.

Shooting a variety of different focus-points in quick succession lets you change the focus point of different scenes without having to reshoot, ideal for once in a lifetime photo opportunities.

High sensitivity sensor

The TZ80 has an 18.1 megapixel high sensitivity MOS sensor designed to capture stunning pictures, even in low light levels. Combined with the powerful Venus 9 Engine image processor, your pictures will have clearer detail and less image noise.

No matter where you are, get up close with the Leica DC Vario-Elmar lens and 30 x optical zoom for amazing detail and clear, crisp photos - even from a distance.

Electronic viewfinder

You don't always get the ideal shooting conditions when travelling. With the TZ80 Electronic View Finder, dim situations are no longer a problem.

The eye sensor automatically detects your viewing preference when it's too difficult to see the LED screen and switches the image display. With 1.116k-dot resolution and approximately 100% colour reproduction, the Live View Finder gives you brilliant visibility and picture framing.

Manual controls

With the control ring you can manually control exposure, zoom and focus depending on your photography needs. Its intuitive design means you can enjoy precise focusing and complete control over every picture and video you take.

Make sure you've got enough memory

It is important to have the right memory card for your camera. The memory card will determine how fast an image is saved and how fast an image is uploaded.

If you're shooting high definition videos along with high resolution images then it's best to invest in a high performance memory card. A high performance memory card will get the best out of your photography, ensuring the best continuous shooting speed and high quality data capture.

I bought one of these recently to replace an earlier version that the kids "lost".

These are great cameras, good lens, fantastic optical zoom and camera I carry most. This version has a few quirks compared to older one. e.g. I somehow managed to switch filters on and all modes only had filter options, was a buried menu option to turn that option off.

Keep an eye on Panasonic outlet on ebay mine was just under £135.

Or pay £142 with voucher off Panasonic ebay store, can vouch as have brought two cameras from their store, both arrived like new in opened packaging.

Good results from mine but it's much bigger and very plasticy compared to the wonderfully compact and solid TZ7 that it replaced.
is this good for vlogging!

Yes, true - but those earlier ones didn't have 30x zoom, etc. so unfair comparison.

Great price
Great to have that 30x zoom.
Very useful to see what's going on in the world through your windows.
Also good when identifying the neighbours that dare to go out for two 'walks' a day.

I don't think so, you cannot charge the camera and use at the same time (WTF are they thinking?!) - unless I've missed something here?!

You would want the tz90 with the flip screen, not great in low light though.
Maybe the lx15 not got the zoom but better in lower light.
I've got the tz80/lx15.

DONT you will regret it... I am a photographer and have the TZ60 and the camera requires very bright light to perform. Soon as you get slight clouds the ISO raises and the quality is terrible even at 400 iso.. stay away, got to be far the worst compact I own. Sony is better, trust me.
