Great find, the SD Card looks like the best of the " freebies ".

Hot.

is this better than my kodak m381 which is 12mp with a 5x optical zoom?

It probably is judging by the user reviews here.

However, only you can tell if you are happy with the photos your Kodak produces.

This is a great price for the FS7. As above the SD card looks the best value option.... making the camera effectively £90 delivered. I was seriously considering this camera before plumping for a TZ6 refurb from Ebay for not a lot more money.... but granted only a 3 month warranty. Couldn't resist the 12x zoom though.

What about the Fujifilm at ebuyer with 5 x optical zoom and wide angle lens @ £92 delivered ??

Incidentally the Panasonic FS62 which is almost identical to the FS7 other than it has a 2.5" screen rather than a 2.7" screen is £95.98 with a 2 year warranty @ ukdigitalcamera (1st year is manafacturer, 2nd year is a ukdigitalcamera's company warranty)

I really cant decide which is the better option ??

i need a decent holiday camera - would this FS7take better pictures in bright sunlight and lowlight indoor shots than a fuji finepix z300 touchscreen which i have purchased but not used as of yet. this fs7 looks a better camera and if this IS the case then i will sell the fuji and buy this . can anyone who knows about cameras advise me please.

Judging by the review here the casio will do the job easily enough - doesnt appear to get as glowing a review as the FS7 but its up to you at the end of the day. The video is HD on the casio compared to the WVGA on the Panasonic if that matters to you in anyway ??

This is a great camera... and for this price a real steal. I bought one back in October for £120 from Amazon.
For £100 you will not go wrong.

thanks andover boy for the reply but the camera i have at present is a fuji z300 not the casio you have linked too. appreciate your time and effort anyway

If you do get one don't update the firmware without research.

Panasonic now have a version tht "protects" you from batteries not made by them - so you are forced to spend £30+ more than the clones.

(Also don't buy from camerabox.com because they take your money and run when you ask them for help later)

Bought even though I cant afford it, however said out of stock when I went to pay however the order was still accepted. Fingures crossed it will turn up. This camera looks fantastic on youtube reviews, been waiting for it to drop below 100 and with free sd card woo hoo.

If it's like the Panasonic TZ6/TZ7 you can downgrade the firmware so you can use third party batteries.

Great camera and this really is a HOT HOT price. 4x optical zoom Leica branded lens too. Don't hesitate - buy it!

Does anyone know if you can adjust setting manually, like shutter speed and appeture etc... like you can on the canons?

Well I've got the FS8 (Virtually the same camera but sold by comet in the UK) & the answer is no.

Usually dispatched within 4-5 days this is because it is out of stock .Proceed to the checkout and you will see. I have ordered and will let you know how it go's.They have sent out the mem card at only a £2 charge :).

Thanks, looks like i will still have to wait for a stonking canon deal

You could also consider the Panasonic DMC FP8, currently £119.99 (no card) 12.1 MP camera RRP £249.99!. Super specification. Not long received mine in a super RED colour. Thought it may help me in trying NOT to loose this one!

NB Only drawback ~ No protective lense cover however, should be fine if you look after your belongings. It's a small trade off for an otherwise superb camera, especially at this price.

Internal moving lenses
Zoom functions whilst in recording mode (most cameras do not have this facility)

Re Posts relating to batteries; I do not see why some folk risk using inferior batteries. May be cheaper in the short term, but damn expensive if a dodgy copy causes irreversible damage. Also they are more likely to discharge at a faster rate. Just something to consider if you wish to purchase additional batteries.
